Sailing SV Delos

Күн бұрын

After sailing 3,000 miles from Cape Town, La Reunion Island absolutely blew us away with its natural beauty and friendly people! It’s just a small speck in the middle of the Indian Ocean, but has incredible hiking, waterfalls, diving, surfing, and culture. We’re really excited to show you a little bit of this paradise!
This is our story, a story of three souls sailing around the world. It is a story about sailing and travel and adventure. But it's also a story about meeting amazing people and making life long friends. It's a story of people living their lives in an alternate way, in close connection with the beautiful people and amazing planet that we call home. Our experience has affected us so profoundly we want to share it, hoping that others may find inspiration to follow their dreams and do what they love.

I'm about to spout some stuff that has probably been said over and over - so here goes the spout ... :-) Brian and Kazza have been an inspiration to so many people - be it be tuning in to share in their awesome journey and dream of what it would really be like to be a part of the crew, or actually going out their and doing it in your own way. Both Brian and Kazza have their unique blend and amazing way to create fantastic footage of their journey (I'm certain this takes up ALOT of time and effort :-) and we all thank you for your endeavours). SO WELL DONE! :-)

At 45 it's the first time in my life I'm an actual fan of somebody and I feel compelled to show my rooting publicly. Just to recap a couple of highlights: Delos crew substituted the rigging by themselves in Asia (!) and then ventured on the Indian Ocean twice (!!). They managed to upgrade their video editing skills to pro level and substantially kept their independence. I'm sure there are times when the 'Truman show' aspects of their life are difficult to manage, but just look at the resilience they have re the obnoxious elements of social media. To me it's seamanship and the beauty of the exploring drive that does the trick. Honestly enthusiastic, positive and fresh, you are gifting smiles to me and a global audience, you can be proud.

So I have to admit that I finally found SV Delos and Binged watch you guys since episode one. When Yoshi left Delos. I saw the long hug and I saw Brady crying. I don't know, it was very difficult. I was extremely sad for Brady. I almost didn't want to watch any more episodes. Yoshi was the life of the party she was always silly and cute and the way that episode ended. It really sucked. Eventually I went back to watching and it's nice to see that there's more crew on board. I like that Brady has taken everything like a champion. I look forward to seeing the new episodes. I realize that ultimately; Delos is Brions and Bradys baby. It's your boat. You guys make it special regardless of who is on board. I like the Santosh episode and when you met up with Rick and his family. I think you should meet up With other Yachties from youtube. Continue your voyage and continue living the dream. Also Karin is pretty amazing and I like the new video startup where she is jumping into the water. Sorry Brady. Her intro is much better. Lol =)

Man what a way to live! My advice to ya'll is to enjoy every minute and every second of your adventure, you are all so lucky. Sailing all over the world, young and vital, tropical paradises, blue seas and sunny skies. Sigh...one day when you are all much older you will all look back on these adventures as the best time of your lives. I know from experience. While I was'nt fortunate enough to sail the world, I did have some great times with good friends and I often travel back in time in my mind to those carefree and wonderful days. Squeeze every ounce out of each day!

Hey delos crew, I am going to blow your mind with this hopefully! (chef trick)Next time you cook your bacon do it on a sheet tray in the oven with parchment paper under and over the bacon, or put it on a perforated rack on the sheet tray. Guess what will happen? Perfectly straight bacon, not curled, but PERFECT. Just like in a restaraunt, and crispy all the way around too! And you can cook way more at one time too!!! Plus you can cook eggs in muffin tins in the oven too, just grease the tins prior to putting the eggs in them. Peace and love Captain Charles, SV Transplanted
