One of the things I love about the ocean is she doesn't care about your age, accent, color of skin, or how good you think you are. She treats everyone the same regardless. Peace, love, and enjoy your weekend Delos tribe! Capt. Breeyawn.

Ok guys! I think this is your best video ever! I have seen them all. I am sure a wonderful experience for your guests too. To the man reading the book Dove. Robin Graham has written 3 books. Dove, The Boy Who Sailed Around The world Alone, and I think the last one was called Home Is A Sailor all are good and I have them all. 18 years ago my wife and I got the chance to take Robin and Patty to dinner. The nicest people you could ever meet. If I recall Patty was teaching and robin was doing custom woodwork. It was an honor to meet up with them. To my surprise at the time of our dinner Robin gave up sailing all together, and just wanted to live a private life in the mountains to raise their family. Can not blame them. If I recall at that time he had not ever sailed since. Truly inspiring though. I sure miss my sailboat. Safe travels to you all. Sincerely, Bill Connely

And Brian's engineering know how and knowlege of mechanics about seals in particular again, saves the day. I wouldn't have the slightest idea about that bow thruster seal and how to finesse a short term fix on taking on water in the open ocean. What balls dude! Then again, it's a simple loose rigging cable/old age thing. Tension the loose cable rigging so as to not push the thruster on the seal out of it's outer hull seat every time a wave hits. Sweet.

For your bow thruster leak in the future - get a fabricator to make you a circular flange with a hinge pin clam to fit the dimensions of our shaft with some grub-screw bolts onto the shaft then put some serious adhesive / silicone rubber/ gasket expansion fire seal or something in there to push it back on the leak. much love from NZL

Dear Breeayn, Karin and Da Bradst*, I'm an avid follower of your channel and have previously commented on how great the new edits are, however would like to revise comments in saying that while I appreciate the skill involved, I feel the focus has gone away from the actual event of sailing, travel and people and more toward the tricks and prowess of professional production. Hopefully I speak on most viewer's behalves in saying that the reason I am such an avid viewer is due to the experiences and people, more than the cinematography. Just a thought. Thanks for all your wonderful adventures - we'll be sure to watch weekly! Stu Kincaid and Kate Church (a big HI ! from RMIT Landscape!)
@MutleyJane1007 жыл бұрын
Stu Kincaid here here! It's good but it's lost the 'rough around the edges' appeal and looks like it's heading towards a commercial for the cruising life. The 'taking it easy' track towards the end seemed a bit staged and not very natural.
@Swizzenator7 жыл бұрын
Yea where's the real vomit? So fake. Are you gonna show us how you make those waves look 12 to 15 feet? Yea please show us all your studio tricks.Everything looks so real but its just staged. Fake waves, fake instrument readings, fake sea sickness. . .I don't think the boat heeled not once naturally. You guys forced it. Man you're good with After Effects. Is there a heel or wave plugin I can buy too? Theres also a "dumbass plugin".Some of you are already using it. Cheers to 3 amazing sailors of the world.
@OldSlow7 жыл бұрын
Could'nt agree more, feels like it's lost a bit of the "honesty". Now its more like short comments instad of real dialogue, everything is chopped to pieces in the editing..

Couldn't disagree more. What you are witnessing is evolution. Stay the same and die. Evolve, improve, grow and live. Congrats to them on improving their skills and sharing them with all of us. Be it sailing, relationships, filmmaking, whatever the case... We should encourage their maturation. It is natural and the essence of journey,

But half of the 24 hour 'day' is night. I feel it shows real sailing life.
@seankelley4787 жыл бұрын
Nah. Too harsh. They are exploring. Man, people are so quick to criticize. You go run a production on a rolling boat for weeks on end. Nothing will burn out a crew faster than doing the same thing all the time. Let them open up and have some fun. Nothing wrong with production value considering their platform. They are definitely not phoning it in.

I grew up in high school where "Dove" was a class reading book. It was a seaside community on peninsula with a whaling history. I distinctly recall a lot of the dangers. For example unknown weather, falling overboard. Navigation problems with sextants. Sextants are accurate to a less then a mile in good conditions. Add a storm where you can't take a reading for several days. Then you must navigate by dead reconning with the compass. You could easily miss a pacific island. -Kurt
