Excellent explanations for easy understanding of the ideas behind sveshnikov. Hope you do more of these

If the Opening is a defense for black, it would be a good Idea flipping the board.

Your comment is partly because of some confusion how the line is presented. IMO the Sveshnikov is a White treatment of a position Black willingly volunteers... So would you consider it a Black defense? Maybe, but only because he invites White to try to take advantage of the supposedly weak d5 and d6 squares as early as possible. But, White doesn't have to play so aggressively, as mentioned momentarily, the KN can retreat to f3 instead of trying to punish Black by playing the KN to b5. Both players enter into the Sveshnikov willingly, so it's debatable whether it's more by White's or Black's choice.

I’m definitely going to add this to my repertoire as black, really enjoy sharp positional positions as it complements my preferences and strengths as a player.

There's is another line that was missed, 8. Bxf6, gxf6 could be played. This "doubled pawns" variation was popular in the 80/90s, but is not as popular now.

7.Nd5 also missing.

Here's an idea: 22.Kf1 g5 23. Qh5 f6 24. Ng2 Rb7 25. Nh4 gh4 26. Qh4 f5 27. Qd8 Rd8 and led to a draw on move 36.

It looks scary for black. What continuation would be solid and forcing with equal opportunities?

Why not take the bishop around 38min. If black takes back it is mate by queen g8

This is an excellent video about the lines you discussed. Thanks. There is only one obvious huge problem -- someone interested in the Sveshnikov might have discovered the defense playing over the games of the Carlsen - Caruana World Championship Match. But in that match Caruana as White chose a different variant, 7. Nd5. Wasn't St. Louis helping Caruana prepare at some point. What happened? Is that variant still relevant? If not, why did Caruana make the blunder of not playing the "main line"? Why was he advised to play an inferior variant with such great stakes for punishing a wrong decision?

If everything has been worked out to be equal. What's the point of teaching? Should teach the possibilities where white can play for a win.

Of these viedeo series, IMO this is one of the weaker. I was curious how this opening would be presented and the level of the target audience... IMO because both were probably well defined, the content suffers. The Sveshnikov is difficult to explain, and it's debatable wehther it's because it's played so little compared to other lines or possibly because it's easy to completely miss the positional aspects because so much depends on tactics. but, it should be poasible to describe some basic chess ideas interwoven with the characteristics of the Sveshnikov, eg how each tactic for each side is affected by the struggle for the d5 square, the basic idea of center control or stability before a wing action, center attack in response to a wing attack, etc. And, it might also be useful to touch on how the Sveshnikov is different than other Sicilaian lines, and possible transpotion options into or out of the Sveshnikov by either player.
