I happen to own the smaller, Peasant Mini, and I am so happy with it. Light, easy to deploy, and no problem keeping it sharp. A small advantage to the Mini is that it fits comfortably in my pocket with no need for a sheath. I own the blue, plastic scale version, but seeing how relatively easy this knife is to modify (similar to the Opinel in that regard), I'm thinking of replacing the stock scales with micarta. These knives rock! Thank you.

perhaps even easier then an opinel due to the screw type construction

+roadwary56 I Same here, it's interesting to see how things were done long ago.

I have a Mini Peasant. It's a Roman Peasant knife made in New Zealand from a high-carbon Swedish tool steel called Sanvik L7 that Svord uses with a proprietary tempering formula to create an outstanding blade at a crazy cheap price. Svord makes their money from selling lots of knives instead of selling fewer at a larger profit. I filed that point off the back of the handle. It's a great EDC and you can drop it and so what? It's tough and inexpensive and perfect for what it is, a great blade that holds an edge EXTREMELY well with the most simple handle design and being able to grab that tang as you reach into your pocket is something you get used to right away.

You can open and close this knife with one hand. much quicker and safer. I have mine in a kydex neck sheath, and can have this open just as fast as a switch blade and in one smooth movement
