Was the explanation on why anandamaya kosha is jada clear? Can anyone expand? It appears that anandamaya kosha is present in all three states of our experience, so how do we logically conclude anandamaya kosha is not brahman?

Swami Sivananda The fifth sheath is the Anandamaya Kosha or Avidya in its Sattvic aspect causing the blissful experience of Sushupti or deep sleep. It is endowed with the three Vrittis, viz., Priya, Moda and Pramoda. Priya is the happiness that arises in one from the mere sight of a desired object. Moda is the happiness which one enjoys when he is in possession of a desired object. Pramoda is the happiness which one gets from the actual enjoyment of the desired object. This sheath makes itself spontaneously felt to the fortunate during the fruition of their virtuous deeds. This Anandamaya Kosha has its fullest play during deep sleep. In the dreaming and waking states it has only a partial operation, caused by the sight of pleasant objects. Priya Vritti is the head of Anandamaya Kosha. Moda Vritti is the right wing. Pramoda Vritti is its left wing. Pratibimbananda is its trunk. The Bimbananda of Atman is its tail. Man generally says: I am the enjoyer. I am happy. I am peaceful. I am contented. I am Sattvic. I am Rajasic. I am Tamasic. I am a dull man. I am an ignorant man. I am a miserable man. I am a discontented person. I am a man of discrimination. I am a vicious person. I am a deluded person. Here the attributes of the Anandamaya Kosha are falsely ascribed to the Atman. Conversely the characteristics of the Satchidananda of Atman are falsely attributed to the Anandamaya Kosha. Man generally says: My bliss is, my bliss shines and my bliss is dear to me. Thus there is reciprocal illusory relationship between Atman and Anandamaya Kosha. The Anandamaya Kosha cannot be the Atman, because it is endowed with changeful attributes. It is a modification of Prakriti. It is the effect of past good deeds. It has an end. You are not the Anandamaya Kosha. This sheath is not yours also. It constitutes the causal body. You are entirely distinct from this sheath. You are always the knower of this sheath. In the illustrations, 'My cow', 'my son', 'my wife', 'my house', the cow, the son, the wife and the house are entirely separate from man. Man generally says, 'My body, my Prana, my intellect, my senses, my ignorance'. This means that the body etc., are different from their proprietor indicated by the word 'my'. It is obvious that all the things are related to a Being which is beyond them all. The relationship is one of property towards its proprietor. You can clearly understand by the practice of 'Neti, neti' doctrine (a continuous process of elimination) that the body, Prana, mind, etc., are not the Soul or Atman, but belong to it.

The Brahman is beyond the manifestation, the koshas are in the manifestation. But Brahman pervades everything. We are not yet in the stage of evolution where we can experience these exclusively in regular life ,except in thier derivatives like delight, joy, happiness etc, because instrumentation of mind, prana,and the sthula sharira itself are not purified enough.But eventually we can and will.So jada may be an indication of the instrument not being sukshma enough to experience the ananda, it will stun us or get distorted.

আত্ম দর্শন ধর্ম নয় : বংগ দেশের অনেক সাধু , সন্নাস , যোগী , ধ্যানী , রাজা বা মহারাজার মতে : আপনি দেহ ও মন নয় , আপনি আদমা বা চেতনা । মায়া বা দৃষ্টির স্বল্পতার জন্য আপনি নিজেকে যাহা ভাবছেন , আসলে আপনি তাহা নন । অর্থাৎ নিজের আদমা পরিচয় ভূলে আপনি দেহকে আমি ভাবছেন এবং আমি রুপ দেহকে দেহ ও মনের কর্তা ভাবছেন এক দ্বৈত ভাবের মনোজগতে । এই মায়া বা দৃষ্টির স্বল্পতা বা দৃষ্টি ভ্রমই মানব প্রকৃতি যা জড় জগত সৃজিত ও চলমান রেখেছে । আত্ম পরিচয় বা নিজেকে খোঁজার নামে এই মানব প্রকৃতির কোনরুপ পরিবর্তন সকল ধর্ম নিষেধ করেছেন ( কোরান : সূরা রুম , আয়াত - ৩০ ) । কারন এর পরিবর্তনে জড় বন্ধন ভেংগে যায় , জড় জগত থেমে যায় । কর্মের পিছনে কর্মার কর্তৃত্বের দাবী না থাকলে বা অদ্বৈতবাদের নামে ভাল ও মন্দ দ্বৈতবাদের শৃংখল ভেংগে দিলে মানুষ আর মানুষ থাকেনা বরং অপ্রকৃতিস্হ বা মজজুব বা বিশেষ অলৌকিক শক্তির অমানব হয়ে পরে । এটা মেডিকাল সাইন্স ও বিজ্ঞানের কথা , সহজাত বিবেক বুদ্ধিরও কথা । সুতরাং মায়া বন্ধন বা জড় বন্ধন থেকে মুক্ত হয়ে মোক্ষ বা মুক্তি লাভের সকল চেষ্টা প্রকৃত বিরুদ্ধ নিষিদ্ধ কাজ । এসব দুনিয়া বিমুখ ধ্যানী বা অতি পন্ডিত ধর্মজীবীদের শান্তি খোঁজার নামে অশান্তির কাজ । আমিত্ব নাশ বা আমিকে খোঁজার নামে নিজের আত্ম বিনাশের কাজ । মানবীয় শক্তির বদলে দানবীয় শক্তি অর্জনের তন্ত্র মন্ত্রের কাজ । মালিকের গোলামীর পরিবর্তে গোলামের মালিক অনুসন্ধানের কাজ ।এরা ভগবানের মকরবাজীর শিকার হয়েছে । ধর্মের নামে এরা দুনিয়ার ধোঁকা খেয়েছে । আপনাকে ভগবান বানিয়েছে দর্শেন বা বিশেষ জ্ঞানের জন্য নয় ( আমিত্ব নাশ , আদমা , দ্বৈত অদ্বৈতবাদ , আত্ম পরিচয় ,ধ্যান ,এনলাইটমেন্ট , নিস্কাম কর্ম , ভগবান দর্শন , মহা মায়া , মোক্ষলাভ এসব দর্শন বা বিশেষ জ্ঞান ) । বরং ধর্মের জন্য ( ভগমানের আদেশ ও নিষেধ ব্যক্তি ও সমাজ জীবনে মানা ও বাস্তবায়ন করা ) । ভগবত গীতার মর্মবানী দেখুন তাহলে বুঝে যাবেন আসলে ধর্ম কি - জড় বন্ধন বা মায়ার বন্ধনে থেকে তথা মানব প্রকৃতির উপর অটল থেকে যার যার ধর্ম গ্রন্হ থেকে সমগ্র জীবনে ভগবানের ঐশী হুকুম বা আদেশ নিষেধের অনুসরনের নাম ধর্ম । ধর্মের মূল বানী : ভগবান ছাড়া আর কোন বিধানদাতা বা হুকুমদাতা নাই । এযেন মানুষের মানবীয় হুকুমের বিরুদ্ধে ভগবানের প্রতিনিধি হিসাবে ব্যক্তি ও সমাজ জীবনে তথা সমগ্র জীবনে যার যার ধর্ম গ্রন্হ থেকে ভগবানের ঐশী হুকুম বা বিধান প্রতিষ্ঠার জন্য ঘরে বাইরে এক মহা যুদ্ধ । মানব প্রকৃতি নষ্ট করে দিয়ে আমিত্ব নাশের বিনাশী খেলায় নয় বরং ভগবান দেখতে চাইছে , সমগ্র জীবনে ভগবানের ঐশী বিধান বা হুকুম কায়েমের এই অগ্নি পরীক্ষায় মানুষ হিসাবে আপনার সাহস কত , মানবীয় হুকুম নামক অসুর বিনাশে মা দূর্গার মতো আপনার হ্যাডম কত । এটাই ধর্ম । এটাই মোক্ষ , এটাই কল্যান, এটাই শান্তি । এটাই সাফল্য । এটাই মানবতা ও মানব জীবনের ঊদ্দেশ্য ।
