The Bhagavad Gita or the Gita Saar is widely revered as one of the greatest jewels of spiritual wisdom in the history of humankind. Bhagavad means “of God” and Gita means “song.” Hence, the Bhagavad Gita literally means “Song of God.” It describes the divine dialogue that took place between the Supreme Lord Shree Krishna and his devotee Arjun on the battle ground.
Unable to deal with the immediate problem at hand, Arjun approached Shree Krsna for a palliative to overcome the anguish he was experiencing. Shree Krishna did not just advise him on his immediate problem, but digressed to give a profound discourse on the philosophy of life. Hence, the Bhagavad Gita imparts, above everything else, Brahma Vidyā, the science of God-realization.
Bhagavad Gita describes clear-cut techniques for implementing its spiritual precepts for everyday life. Hence, the Bhagavad Gita is also called “Yog Shastra,” meaning, The the scripture that teaches the practice of Yog.
In this series, Swami Mukundananda reveals the original meanings of the Bhagavad Gita Quotes, Shlokas [Chapter 7, Gyan Vigyan Yog, Yog through the Realization of Divine Knowledge] with crystal clear explanations and perfect logic.
In this episode Swamiji explains verses 8,9 and 10 of Chapter seven of Bhagavad Gita.
रसोऽहमप्सु कौन्तेय प्रभास्मि शशि सुर्ययोः ।
प्रणवः सर्ववेदेषु शब्दः खे पौरुषं नृषु ॥
I am the taste in water, O son of Kunti, and the radiance of the sun and the moon. I am the sacred syllable Om in the Vedic mantras; I am the sound in ether, and the ability in humans. ||8||
पुण्यो गन्धः पृथिव्यां च तेजश्चास्मि विभावसौ ।
जीवनं सर्वभूतेषु तपश्चास्मि तपस्विषु ॥
I am the pure fragrance of the Earth, and the brilliance in fire. I am the life-force in all beings, and the penance of the ascetics. ||9||
बीजं मां सर्वभूतानां विद्धि पार्थ सनातनम् ।
बुद्धिर्बुद्धिमतामस्मि तेजस्तेजस्विनामहम् ॥
O Arjun, know that I am the eternal seed of all beings. I am the intellect of the intelligent, and the splendor of the glorious. ||10||

In this episode, Swami Mukundanada Ji reveals the Glory of Lord Krishna and the nature of devotion. He explains that the quality of taste in liquids, radiance of the moon and the sun, the primordial root syllable Om, the ability for austerities in yogis, and the brilliance in human beings are the manifestations of the Glory of God. Swamiji further states that if you see something spectacular anywhere, you know it to be the manifestation of the Glory of God. Shri Krishna tells Arjun that there is no element in the universe where he is not present. His presence is the source of life and the glory associated with various elements. Swamiji says that these qualities make God omnipresent, omniscient, and omnipotent.
