These swans dominating this water for years.
For some reason the geese decided to build a nest in the same area.
The moment their children were big enough to leave they left,
and i never saw them back again.

Anytime I see swan taking off, I find myself wondering how much energy and muscular efforts does it take to flap those gigantic wings so as to lift the swan's 12 kgs body off the ground and get airborne. I believe it must take sheer energy and enormous muscle strengths to do that vigorous flapping and manage to lift a 12 kgs body off the ground. That's a magic of nature. I love how at the 2-min mark, the Canada Goose decides she's taken enough sass from that swan, and gives it a taste of it's own medicine. I've run into some serious douchebag geese in my time who like to hiss at you and shit at your feet, but from most of the vids I am seeing here swans are much bigger asshole birds, and much bigger birds period, so I am glad they don't come around my neck of the woods. Just lots of ducks and geese.

The swan is saying, "this is MY pond, you Canadian hoser!" Swans are gorgeous creatures, but territorial as hell. The only advantage geese have over them is that geese are pretty competent on land, while swans do not really like to walk as much and are more comfortable in the water. Notice the swan gives up the chase when the goose goes onto the land.
