Swap that nib in a Moonman C1!

I have had a lot of difficulty getting the flow to work on the C1 specifically the fude nib. Are there any alternative nibs you can think of that have a slightly different angle ? Also, that really cool hammer head shark nib you have in it... what brand of nib is that? I want to be able to use my C1 to draw with. I thought the fude nib would be perfect -but the flow is awful. Have you any suggestions? X

The C1 will take Jowo nibs with no problem. You can even use the feed, but keep the Moonman section in place. Many of us use Jowo to build our stacked nibs, and I've found quite a few of mine work well in the C1, including the one you asked about. 😀

@@penslothnibs1604 Brilliant. Thank you. This is the first time I have ever bought myself a new pen. I love working with ink. I paint with it normally. I was genuinely amazed that the random pen I picked, has the capacity to change nibs on it. It really opens it out as an even more impressive tool. Did you make the hammerhead shark nib? I basically want to get every shape nib to fit the pen now!! 😂😂 your video inspired me to change the nib etc. That’s the first pen I have ever been able to do that with. So it’s all pretty exciting. I will go on an internet trawl of Jowo nibs.. to see what shapes I can find. I think the fude one, is not flat enough for me. It’s almost like it curves? Thank you for replying 🥰🥰

What was the nib you put in? My C1 has some flow issue so I was going to remove the feed to clean it but was curious what other nibs fit. Is there a brand or category I can search for?

I use Jowo #6 nibs and feeds. You can get them online from a lot of sellers, like Goulet. The Jowo feed fits into the socket in the pre-installed hardware, so you don't need to unscrew it.

I did that with my C1 and the whole housing came out. Now it is not flowing as well.. I have a #6 in a opus 88 housing that I would like to put in the C1..

Did the C1 housing just pull out with the nib and feed? It definitely should not do that. I would try using the opus nib with the C1 housing and feed.

I've been thinking about getting this pen to outfit with a flex nib due to it's ink capacity - it's nice to know it uses a standard #6. Are there any flex nibs you recommend? I'm very new to the whole nib swapping thing

Well, the Omni flex nib is a POS. Noodlers (Kanwrite) nibs are not really #6, so they're out. I don't know if there any factory flex nibs to consider. Talk to Damien at All In The Nib. He can give you some guidance.

@@PurtyPurple FPR nibs are probably made by Kanwrite and they won't fit. You could email them to make sure. Things could have changed since I last bought a pen from them. Flexible Nib Factory makes custom housings for nibs and they may offer Kanwrite to Jowo
