Stark really listens to their customers and reviews. I got my Stark in August here in So-Cal. It had the 47-tooth rear sprocket to fit the Dunlop, new charge port location and the charger cables are plenty long. The front suspension was perfect. The rear was dead as described. It took one click (to soften) on each of the upper clickers and a click rebound. At just over 10 hours on the bike I am very happy with suspension. The recent update for battery efficiency with crawl mode are awesome. Regarding phone connection i have had no issues. you can also use your regular cell phones hot spot to link up.

Hey can you let us know which Stegz pegz you went with? They have a few different options. I ride on the balls of my feet so I'm leaning towards the further back 2x rubber. Thoughts...

The only issue I have with my Stark is, that the right fork leg is constantly slipping up in the triple clamps. I increased the top clamp torque from 20Nm to even 23Nm, but it still slips up on heavy landings. Other than that, no issues at all. 35hrs in. Had the fork setup revalved, because the OEM setting is way too hard after 1/3 of the stroke. Rear shock is very good though for an OEM part.

I would send them an e mail. I suspect an improperly machined clamp. They’ll probably send you a new set.

@@swapmotolive. Since they're basically KTM triple clams, I was told this is also a known issue with KTMs. But that info is based on internet forum knowledge, haha. I does not bother me enough to contact Stark. But their support is ususally very good, I agree.

Can you speak more on the Stegpeg? Why did you get the Standard vs Farther Back? Which rubber peg did you buy? 1x 2x 3x. Thank you for your content. These pegs will be my first mod.

Hey Don, DO you recommend the hand rear brake, or the foot rear brake?
@michaelherrickmusic2 ай бұрын
would love to try one of these! how's the battery life? can you get through a full day at the track? and by full day, that would mean like 4-5 15-20 min motos for me
@tannerrogers98412 ай бұрын
Depends on your ability. In the hands of a pro, it can last like 15 minutes on a sandy loose surface. Intermediate riders can squeeze out 30 minutes at a hard pace on sandy surface. Hard packed you can probably get 30 at pro pace maybe 45min-60 min at intermediate pace. Trail riding it can last 5+ hours.

lightest 450 is 25 pounds lighter, no big deal, Varg feels lighter most of the time. Use E6000 glue for grips, you will have to cut the grip off.

I'd love to see a Stark Varg run at the Nationals if the battery can last long enough for the moto.
@motron34532 ай бұрын
It can’t at pro level speed.
@swapmotolive.2 ай бұрын
I’d say very unlikely in this first generation bike. Pro level speed drains the battery much faster than slow vets like me.
@kentr24242 ай бұрын
@@motron3453 Do you know how long it DOES last at top pro speed, and at what horsepower level? I'm curious?
@motron34532 ай бұрын
@@kentr2424 Since I'm not pro speed, I can't tell exactly. But for a decent/quick amateur rider it's as follows: Hardpack 30-35min vom 90-95% to 20% battery. On deep sand it is 20-25min from 90-95% to 20%. It will not last a full training day with 3x 15min Motos. You need to arrive at the track with 90+% battery and recharge after every moto for at least 20-30mins to get 20-30% battery back. Then it will last a full day and you can ride 4-5x for 15-20min. But you need to recharge. Reason for recharge is, that it takes too long to charge from 20% battery to lets say 70%. It's about 1% per 1minute at 220V and 8Amps. So if you ride until your battery is very low, your riding day basically ends. The bike itself and its handling is superb. Current battery tech is the limit. For a first generation and new tech dirtbike they hit a home run. It can instantly compete with any MX bike out there, if you compare the on track performance.

Wait so if the phone can't connect to the bike it's DOA? You have to have internet as well? To use a dirtbike?

@@noControl556 Sorry..Just thought you were being smart a$$ like most. Don't need a phone or internet to ride. Phone for additional information and control.
@motron34532 ай бұрын
You need the phone to set mappings, control charging power (fast or slow mode) and receive update for the bike. When riding it can be used as a speedometer, it tracks your ride time, tracks your route/laps via GPS, air time and shows your battery level. It also shows in which of the five maps you’re in. The bike will run without the phone, but don’t get any of the above mentioned info then.
