Playing in ultrawide monitors so amazing i hope consoles see it and support 21:9 ultrawide
@rasluffi3 ай бұрын
Unlikely, consoles are built with specific performance targets and ultrawide is not so common and would come with lesser performance than standard 16:9 at the same resolution it'll be a while before consoles are so versatile if ever they're for casual users

@@alimearaj8674I would say it depends on game if you play games like valorant etc you r actually in a disadvantage in 34 inch and bigger it's a reason pro players use 24/27 inch but I don't do I prefer 32 by 9 so super ultrawide

on the Alienware 34 inch ultra wide, which seems very similar to this in many ways, subtle curve and all. Just wondering how many years left till they have 34 ultra wides in 4k. True end game monitors.

I'm pretty sure they announced 34" ultra wides in 4k to be available next year

I've been using an Samsung Odyssey G8 ultrawide OLED for the past year or so for both gaming and (accounting) work. Easily have 2000+ hrs on it at this point, and I can say that I've begun to notice a line where the splitscreen sits one side-by-side applications... not noticeable all the time, only when the screen is one full color mainly. I have all the screen care features enabled. Just something to keep an eye on, but a 3 year warranty would be a MINIMUM requirement in my mind...

Do you have any Problems when switching to your console with it thinking you play with Mouse and Keyboard since they are still connected via the KVM. I heard that some Games might Ban you if you use Mouse and Keyboard

Holding for the LG 45 inch woled 5120x2160 165hz coming end of the year. They are making another one in 39 inch with the same resolution and specs but Q4 2025. My 3090 is going to struggle lol. Hopefully the DLSS can save my ass

This is exactly what I’m waiting on too. I wiiiishh. I’d hope for it to be 240hz tho but that’s a lot of pixels lol

@@MinimalisTech indeed but honestly already getting 165 fps at that resolution would be amazing haha

I want 4K for productivity and clear text, while gaming in motion I have no problem with lowering the resolution for better performance. Sucks I gotta wait another year for the 39”, 45” is excessive for me

I think its 45'' 5120x2160 @ 240hz

I can never leave Ultrawide after diving in. Same for OLED. Any current sacrifices (which are barely a sacrifice) couldn’t make me trade for higher fps/resolution to go to a standard resolution. OLED 240hz @ 1440 ultrawide is great… but can’t wait to run a 5090 4k ultrawide high refresh in the near future 😉

would you prefer the LG or the gigabyte oled display? I'm kinda torn between the two. I heard the glossy coating is superior. However the LG is about 100$ cheaper in my country and the matte coating might provide a more consistant experience. Do you have a specific preference?
@extra45423 ай бұрын
To me, there’s no point in getting OLED if it’s not glossy. Matte coating affects clarity, color pop, and black levels
@Uzaair3 ай бұрын
Modern oled monitors with 'matte' finishes tend to lean more towards the glossy side anyway. It's not like the matte finish on your typical IPS displays
@hyperfuse73192 ай бұрын
@@extra4542 matte coating of WOLED definitely dont affect black levels. QD oled black levels do get affected from light sources making it look magenta / purplish. u got it wrong bro.

Been using the LG 45GR95QE-B for a few months now. Going back to a smaller Ultrawide or 16:9 smaller monitor is a no go since it'll be a straight downgrade in terms of immersion regardless of a resolution bump. My only upgrade path is LG's 5K2K version of the same monitor.
@MinimalisTech3 ай бұрын
I'm hoping for the 5k2k as well! Dream monitor. Lotta pixels to drive tho haha. I miss my 45gr95qe, was a beast of a monitor.

I heard next year we might get 4K Ultrawide gaming monitors. ''5120x2160'' That sounds extremely hot haha. End game monitor. But man, you will need a BEAST pc to power that high of a resolution monitor.

This and Gigabyte MO34WQC2 use the same panel?
@ihatedwang3 ай бұрын
That's my understanding. These all use the old pixel structure since they're basically the same as the gen 1 panels but with the 240hz refresh rate. I believe this is also true for all models coming out from Corsair, Gigabyte, MSI, Acer, etc. If you want more details, TFTCentral wrote an article on this

the price is what kills ultrawides. I prefer them too, but paying 1000EUR for a 3440x1440 resolution is just insane... Yes, it's not bad, but it's also not great. If you work with macbooks it's just a blurry mess compared to the laptop screen. When I'm paying 1000EUR+ I expect 5K2K
