Did you have to use different engine mounts? Or modify the stock engine mounts?
@AllCarsEverythingOfficial4 жыл бұрын
You can absolutely modify the stock mounts. It’s even easier to fabricate your own solid motor mounts. I didn’t want that crazy cabin vibration that solid mounts give so I decided to buy xcessive mounts specific for this swap

You could of put a few bolts in the back of the engine and placed a pry bar against it so it would of locked the crank from spinning to do the crank pulley.

Also you can use a half size civic condenser you would just need new lines to be made to run to it.
@AllCarsEverythingOfficial5 жыл бұрын
@@2JSLay yea that belt method is just cool as hell lol and awesome i just had no idea what determines the size of the condenser so I was afraid of going smaller.
@2JSLay5 жыл бұрын
@@AllCarsEverythingOfficial a smaller one won't cool as efficiently as a larger one but with jz you want to minimize the blocked part of your radiator as much as possible as they run hot already

@@2JSLay Yea i see what youre getting at I just want to enjoy the car in the summer and summers are hot and humid lol pure definition of swamp ass

Hey man following your channel and I’m just about to start my 2jz swap on my 93 rx7 but to answer your question about the ac condenser you need one close to the original size condenser due to the fact that of you go smaller your losing cooling capacity go a little smaller you might be fine up in the jersey area but here in bama the humidity would kill ya but you’re doing a good job man 👌🏻

thanks for the comment bro that really helps! I still have to figure all that condenser fitment >.< Hey good luck on your build! That's gunna be absolutely sick!! Add me on Instagram! I would love to see your build!

You know where I live lol but taking the radiator support seems like maybe the best solution

Should buy an ati damper that crank pully is 17yrs old lol
@AllCarsEverythingOfficial5 жыл бұрын
Virginia Vargas well this motor is newer than that. It’s the same exact motor that the Supra has except this came from japan out of a Toyota Aristo. All the 2jz motors from jdm Depot are out of a Toyota Aristo. But like you said these dampers are known to come apart once they are cracked I just don’t want to spend another $300+ for it 😖
