A seminal contribution by Mr Sampath to bring out real history as opposed to the left-liberal (illiberal) Darbari history.

Very informative session -refreshing factual perspective on Veer Savarkar - unknown of all these details and well critiqued.The section -Personal experience where Dr Sampath provides homage to all the forefathers in cellular & unrecognised Heros who laid down their lives for the country is very heart touching and you can see his empathy & love for humanity. Dr Sampath is a treat to listen to.Look forward to Biography of Shivaji 👍Pranaam🙏

It is always pleasure to listen to interviews with Vikram Sampath... for the passion and clarity with which he speaks.....I believe it comes from several hours of spine breaking research that has gone in these books. Thank you Vikram for choosing Savarkar for your researched work. its time youngsters of India, the English speaking class too knows about who was Savarkar and why people although very few, believe that he was truly a ' Veer ' . I am delighted to hear that it's being translated in regional languages as well. Looking forward to your books on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Tipu Sultan.

Nehruvian era historiography blackened the minds of school children and had spurned or shunned the contributions of this man Savarkar and others who fight for the existence of Hindu culture.

Yes, Gandhism brainwashed Indians to lose the fighting spirit against foreign ideologies and Nehruvianism made Indians ashamed of their own culture and wanting to embrace western-Christian culture.

Great Podcast! But the ironies with respect to Ambedkar that were brought up towards the end were great. "The man who rallied against idol/hero-worship has become the ultimate object of idol/hero worship."

If we had Savarkar was first PM, we would have true nationalist Hindu rastra
@somankanchan3266
@somankanchan3266 3 жыл бұрын
Mr Savarkar was true nationalist but least interested in active politics, beside jailed in Andman for more than decade and house arrest in Ratanagiri physically became very very fragile, if gandhi would say 'yes' to Sardar Patel and 'no' to nehru as first PM of India picture would have been different

Demonization of Savarkar and RSS together with all Hindutwa forces has been a strategy of the Nehru dynasty brigade and left anarchists.

Perspectives shared by the author are truly educative. Great initiative to interview this brilliant scholar. Nation knows almost nothing about Veer Savarkar. To be honest until few yrs earlier my understanding was cipher at ripe old age mid 70. What a shame😢 He was a victim of Break India Forces. Jaganathan should have allowed the full screen to Dr Sampath instead of sharing half portion. His nods and body language were distracting. Swarajya may suitably educate their journalists.

Please do arrange a discussion on this great topic in Hindi. There are many people in our country who cannot understand English. Hence, discussion in Hindi and other regional languages will be more beneficial for the people of our country to know about Veer Savarkar. Kindly do take an immediate initiative.

Was a joy. Both were so knowledgeable about their subject. but the elephant in the room which was studiously avoided was the concept of Hindutva, both from RSS & Savarkar perspective....and is it intentional?...assassinations be it MK or Indira Gandhi...both are referring to them as 'murders'

In last 3-4 years before Gandhi's death Gandhi went overboard in appeasing Muslims by not thinking about the sentiments of Majority of Hindus.

I still don't see any Hindu organisation working seriously on the ground to protect the Hindu cause. There is open conversion and illegal immigration of a particular religion. I have seen this in Bangalore, Hyderabad, Odisha. You can openly identifying them speaking Bengali and wearing lungi. But nobody does anything. Few years back there was no trace of any topis or burqas in Odisha. Now i find my vegetable vendor is a Bengali speaking Muslim. How these people landed here. why they are selling vegetable or working in a building so far. I don't know even they are Indian. I think this is serious law and order problem for India.

In the book '1st War of India's independence (1857 Mutiny)', addition of emotional comments by Shri VD Savarkar to dependance of diaries, write-up etc. in London archives has diminished readers interest. Vikram's views? On same topic, a book by a Team of Indian history, sent by Maulana Azad to Europe seems more knowledgeable to readers!
