SWAROVSKI OPTIK - dS rifle scope: Sighting in and app configuration

I installed this optic on a crossman 760 air rifle.I have now shot the riffle around 500 times during target/plinking practice, and the kzbin.infoUgkxc4K63Fd5LglDMObu7-Bgapxp_ef0W8hE scope has done well.With this optic, I have neutralized around 30 pigeons that were invading one of my buildings.For my short range air rifle, I will continue to use this scope, but will be upgrading to a more powerful scope, when I buy a more powerful air rifle, in order to shoot at longer distance.For the money I have spent, this scope has truly been a great buy.

For operation Is it depends on the mobile phone? Or one time you transfer data to the app and that is?

Um,...can you please explain something. When doing the rangefinder ballistic bullet drop button feature, does the scope have to be putting at the target? Cuz if so, this is inconvenience, Cuz the barris eliminator comes with a rangefinder ballistic cord you can click at finger of a button.

@@SWAROVSKIOPTIKHunting Im sorry, but that isnt very inefficient and very inconvenient; why? As i said, Burris Eliminator made it where you click a button a cord. Means you can bring the cord down to the stock or near your trigger or whear ever. Where that makes it from you guys, where you kinda have to let go the go with your right arm..to push a button EVERY TIME to make the product work. For me, i would have a bad habit, of wanting to back out of the scope, to look at the button on the scope into pressing it for the distance. Just wouldnt work, cuz then you dont know if you are spot on when you back out of the scope. As i said, think you guys need to give us the cord options for people like me. Other wise, i dont see how you can justify spending $4K ...when i can spending $1.2K on Burris Eliminator that DOES have a button cord and is much cheaper and does shoot out to around 1200 yards. I love some new tech in it, but i think you guys need go back to drawling board on this small flaw ( cord button ) ....and give me a reason to spend $4k vs the $1.2K . If ya gave us a ballistics button cord,...i think im all game for it; until then, im not going to have to keep looking up off my scope or make it inconvenient to mental train myself to push a button on my scope lol

​@@cowdy293 the old Swarovski LRS have a cord button. And if you check the Swarovski LRS - you know the grandfather of your burris scope. Cord Switch is not necesary.

Interesting concept. However this scope is very big and not something I would want on a deer rifle. I do like the idea and hope it progresses far.

Hi there ,just bought a Swarovski ds... But I can't work the app out...in my phone says is connected.... but when try to " find my scope" .... simply doesn't do anything else... can anyonr help ?

Dear @Liviu C, that should be a smartphone issue. You have to activate additional location and device settings with Bluetooth on your smartphone. The ds app works from Bluetooth version 4.0 on. Looks like a 1/4 MOA gun that probably costs as much as an 1/8 MOA... Shooter drops a 1 moa group... Ouch! Could it be bad scope mounts or bad riffling..?

Great scope, but the Ballistic app is pretty awful. It's too bad Swarovski stopped updating it as it's extremely buggy in its current state.

The bullet data Swarovski use for this scope is a waste of time, Only go with chrono data, and even then its flawed. had issues with this scope from the start. Swarovski can you do a chrono video now, its vital for this scope.

It wasn't exactly complicated. It just said to zero the rifle/scope, pair with phone app, set preferences.
