I played this way for months. Once you figure it out, what works and what doesn't, it's much quicker and smoother than without voice commands. I rarely had issues with VoiceAttack. The old AI was the main limitation. You could use different vernacular for the same commands, it was pretty slick.

Great work, close calls on those rear-sec. When you're mapping in the beginning of the mission, you can actually place markers that will appear mid-mission by rightclicking on the map, so you can create plans to reference later if needed. Great content as always CPairs, keep it up!

Greased Palms is an absolute nightmare. Once you enter the large sorting room it's a total gamble where you are going to get wallbanged from. You basically have to gas the entire floor and still hope you don't get shot by anyone outside the several garage doors, or on a raised platform inside.

So I figured out that even if you don't have a full roster when going into a mission, it just auto fills with some AI. You could even start the mission alone, and it will still give you 4 AI members.

It doesn't sound messed up that you let the team do the work. You are the commander, your job is to ensure the protection of the team and to assure their well being. The commander should rarely fire his weapon and be primarily concerned with issuing orders to maintain combat effectiveness. But i must stress, check your corners and pull rear security.

I had a struggle with this one with my team shooting too many people so I couldn't get my two arrests. I've since split my team into lethal and less lethal and it's kinda amazing how they work so well together to go less lethal first and then lethal if a subject doesn't comply. It also helps A LOT with their sanity since you get points for arresting and detaining people without harming them.

One saving piece of utility is the door wedge. It's for peace of mind that at least your flank is clear because the door is completely barred. I usually bring 5 door wedges just for that.

Great job with this series! Love the attention to detail with your editing. Its refreshing. I purchased RoN when it was released in EA, but have not played much. I've been playing through the ironman campaign and trying to stay ahead of your progress to avoid spoilers! I will learn from failure! I also learned you must locate all civilians. I could not for the life of me could not find one on this map hiding under a bed ... extracted (thought it was bugged or something) and learned it was not enough to progress. Did it all again! lol

I played this last night. Had a meth head stuck in a closet and all 4 AI allies were SCREAMING at him to get out for 15 mins while I was off doing other things. The meth head was slowly coming out a few millimeters per minute. Eventually I was able to melee him out but it was funny to hear swat screaming from the other house "GET OUT GET ON THE GROUND" over and over.

This was the mission where I was one shot in the head as I ascended the stairs into the attic 👍 Didn't make that mistake the next time, chucked a banger up there first! One detained with a knife. Whereas your attic was empty! Love how variable it can be. I've been experimenting with CS gas instead of bangers in later levels. It's very fun. Whole squad of gas masks and just filling rooms with noxious clouds. The graphics for it are great. Also it might be seen as cheesy but I've been running a shield officer too who automatically takes point. Vital on ironman tbh and hey, the GIGN etc love using shields irl and they do work.

There are 3 things I want fixed for realism's sake: 1. Adjustable reticle brightness 2. Pistol sights should have even sized dots or even the front sight dot slightly larger than the rears. 3. Non master hand on the pistol grip should be higher on the frame for a modern thumbs forward grip.

I've tried over and over on some of the maps and while I believe it is possible to complete iron man, getting the "Hermit" achievement for no officers killed is nearly impossible with AI, or would require a player to solo every map consecutively. Even with the improved AI given every tactical advantage in full steel plate will die to a stray bullet to a limb or the head. The enemy AI is currently extremely averse to surrendering even when surrounded, gassed, etc, which makes capture objectives very difficult.

Couple pointers: you don’t hold security enough, you’re almost always at the high ready instead of just ready, not a lot of situational awareness; always looking around at the scenery instead of observing the things around you, also no IR Laser. You want to make it as immersive as possible? Remember that as the last man in the stack, or team, you hold the biggest responsibility, you fuck up your entire team dies, and your team got lucky more than once

Unfortunately in RoN you have to look at objects to order commands, so as the last man in the stack, I still have to drop security to issue orders. I had a MAWL. It glitched out early in the run. I've got SA for DayZ.

So the AI swat members basically react on the first frame of a suspect standing up, she pulled out either a second pistol or a knife in the split second she was unobserved which led to the terminator swat AI to execute her on the spot

@@Novaerian Yeah, the AI are demigods of suspect analysis. When I play co-op with friends and without SWAT AI we often get in trouble for reacting too late when they only fake surrendered but whenever there is a bot around suspects just stand no chance. :D The only problem is that it sometimes makes it harder to arrest suspects alive since normally I would still be able to take out my taser or pepperspray in time to get them to surrender again but the SWAT AI just goes scorched earth immediately.

Ngl I like this mission a lot. Didnt equip nvg on everyone the first time, so it didnt last long lol. Took me forever and a day to find that last suspect on second try though. Missed 1 freakin door in the larger house. I eventually sounded him out by walking around yelling at everything. "Cops n robbers" became "Marco Polo"... for *keeps*
