Just purchased the build your own 10 pan! sadly some of the shadows you mentioned aren't available on adept and i was quite sad, but I did pick up some of the really cool brown/lavender/olive shimmers that you mentioned and i can't wait, they look right up my alley, loving grungey gray/brown shimmers these days!!

I understand website v.s real life are different but at least in that lighting the blue and red mattes perform how I would expect and I think that is special. I find blues usually go grungier than I expected. Edited to add that I think it was lighting. With them in the palette they look deeper than when you were searching them.

I was most interested in the mattes and you got almost all the shades I wanted and I'm really disappointed in how they swatch, I mean the colours. Why is it so difficult to find good grungey greens, mustards and deep reds that don't look pink or brown baaed?

I’m thinking now that maybe I could hunt down that Becca highlighter palette with the colorful shades. I’m not sure if it’s “eye safe” but I’d rather do that than continue with KVD in my collection.

I wish they had cheaper shipping to Norway! I think it’s like 25$. Id love to buy some of their beautiful magnetic palettes. I just love all the matte colors you have! Personally I decided that I won’t be getting more single shadows that aren’t the standard 26mm round pan, I like to make custom palettes and just can’t get myself to have different pan sizes in the same palette, no matter if I want to 😫 I don’t think I’ve commented you videos before, but I really love how you do your flatlays! And your voice is so comfortable to listen to, it’s very relaxing to watch your videos 💞 I just bought an extension rod myself so I can try filming like this, I’m so eager to curate themed palettes on my channel, but it’s basically not possible to show the process without doing a flatlay! Clapping like an excited child! After your recent declutter of your singles along with the palettes, I did a similar project and I took an inventory of what colors are absent and what needs to be replaced. Ttthhhheeeeeennnnn.....I went to Adept and placed my first order. I purchased ACM4; ACM20; ACM7; ACM8; ACD6; and ACS16. This was wonderful to see your swatches and to be excited about my selections. I am saving this video for reference of future purchases. Adept should consider linking your videos featuring their shadows in their website!

I might order a bundle of six when my no-buy ends so I'm keeping this video linked for reference. I'm a matte fan, and this was really useful because I don't think the matte formula is one I would like...It looks very powdery and difficult to get to perform true to color.

I have some of these shadows and adore the formula. My critisms (in case Adept is checking in!) are that the website is quite a pain to shop with all the shade names being numbers and having to select them by only # in a drop down when building a palette. I'd love to order more but am putting it off because I know it will be a bit of a project to navigate.

I purchased about 20 of these, and I’m really enjoying them. They’re great eyeshadows, especially for the price. Watching you with your singles inspired me to take apart a few of my lesser used ND palettes too, and add them to singles palettes. I’m finding myself using them more often because of it. Is 3.50 a good price for single shadows? Yes especially if you are new and just want to dip your toes into singles, trying to find the colors and formulas you like. But none of these look spectacular while i can drop 1.50-3 dollars more for other brands that have truly unique shimmers and nice mattes

You're not alone lol. They just look so slick and too creamy. Like they don't have much of a wow factor to them just the oilyness. The mattes look like cream to powder shadows and the swatches don't look great.

I'm not the biggest fan of mattes either. I rather have shimmer. To me it is easier to work with and I love the shimmery (great description I know) part of it. I still wear mattes, but not like I do shimmers.

I’m pretty much scared of eyeshadow. I kind of like the concept of single shadows, especially to avoid the physical waste of disposable palettes that inevitably contain unloved pans. Adept is out of many of the shadows you identified as favorites, but that’s ok, I’m probably not ready. Maybe by the time I feel I know enough of what I’m doing with a neutral palette that it’s time to branch out, Adept will restock some of your favorites.

They look cool in the palette but these swatches were not impressive. The mattes look particularly chalky and poor quality. I don't see how you can honestly say these perform as well as some of the other shadows in your collection (Natasha Denona, Clionadh, JD Glow etc).

Don't knock it until you try it. They're wonderful and pigmented. Also, my JD glow ones, which are double price, dried out so fast. Clionadh mattes are terrible and way over priced. Just my opinion. Adept's shades are beautiful, 3 grams of product at $3.50 or less.

Nothing about these dull and chalky shadows calls to me. I just find it strange that Hannah is singing their praises given the way that they swatched.

Can you really tell eyeshadows by how they swatch? A lot of the commenters say they really like them. Personally- I prefer these over the dusty shadows over at Colourpop!

@@ashleygeorge2901 there is no way that navy blue performs well! The swatches don't tell the whole story but they offer some insight! When you go over a swatch 4-5 times and they are streaky, patchy and don't build up, it's a big nope for me!

it's hard to capture the richness of the swatches on camera. The way they look in the palette is pretty faithful to how vibrant they are on the eyes (especially the shimmers and diamonds).

they do perform very differently on the eyes than they swatch. I'm not great with matte shadows all around, I can never seem to get a good matte swatch from any formula tbh. But the color difference surprised me

Yeah I cringed at the swatches of the mattes. Really terrible dusty swatches. I cannot imagine those performing well. The shimmers also were underwhelming. I do not think this is an unbiased review.
