Lovely set, beautiful colors! imo the most difficult thing about using watercolors is trying to be less controlling and free up your painting style. I did do the cover page of Wish You Were Here in watercolor and it was fun.... enjoyed this swatch!

Oooh I love watercolor. It is very freeing. I always swatch concentrated just so I know how much I can water em down lol

Those look amazing. I have the pastel set and I love them but I would love to get the 48 set you're showing there. I'll have to keep my eyes out for a sale too! 😅😍 and they do look so different after they dry so it's always great to swatch it out. I like to do a thick swatch and a dragged out one under it just so I can see the differences in the amount of paint and water I'll use for the effects. Water color has become my favorite thing to use since covid forced me to explore new ways to stay in and relax 🤣

Yeah I used to do that, but after a few years I got used to just having a feeling where it goes watered down. That said, I did get some new tubes that I will probably do a gradient

I didn't realize how good these seem to be! The swatches are gorgeous and I like the color range. Oh, and I would definitely like to see you do a mixing chart even if its just with a palette of 12 or something. Thanks!

Haha. These were VERY pretty. I was very impressed with the colors and they are like soooo silky smooth omg. But yeah, dangerous. Don't watch - but do for support hahaha. Ah I was wondering where you went off to these days! You on vacation?

@@ColorfullyOptimistic I am impressed with the colors too, and they looked silky to me…no worries about support, I always give every video I watch a 👍🏻 up. My daughter is working crazy long hours so she brought me down to stay with them so I can watch (play) with my sweet Bailey for almost 3 months, until she goes back to school, a real hardship lol…

You can make grays with ultramarine and burnt sienna and the rose red and the emerald green deep, which are also known as Quinacridone rose and phthalo green. They make varying tones of gray depending on amounts of pigments used. Though if I want a blackish gray, i use just a watered down black at this point. I also have this set. I have a bunch of their tube colors and the 24 set with the prussian blue swapped for the cobalt teal, and the 48 set left as is

@@ColorfullyOptimistic i like their tubes of the artist grade quite a bit. Some of them have become staples in my color selection. They’re a bit more pigmented than the pans, but i like both.

I actually want to use them in my watercolor workbooks, but also, I plan to do more watercolor just plain artwork on my channel.
