Are you using AVB in your studio? I'm coming from the Mac world, and want the lower latency that presents with the eternity rather than USB. Using a SLIII 32SC and an NSB 16.8 and on Mac is a b*tch to set up. Was hoping it might be easier on Windows.

Sorry, I'm no help here. Not using AVB.

Motherboard does not support thunderbolt. Bad choice for music production since most pro audio interfaces are thunderbolt

My current interface is USB and I have no intention of upgrading to a thunderbolt interface anytime soon, so there was no need to consider Thunderbolt support. The next build I'll probably consider it.

I would never use another ryzen again all intel for me bruh. The issues inhave had with my ryzen 7 from audio interface to ableton crashes to plugins taking forever to load or crash. The list goes on. Intel i have never had problems. Will be going back on next build otherwise good build man. For anyone who gets an audient dont get a ryzen you will be sorry.

I've had nothing but success with 3 consecutive Ryzen builds. Ryzen 5, 7, and 9. I'd be willing to bet that your issues are probably more RAM related than CPU related. Nothing wrong with Intel though...they have been a leader in the industry for years for a reason. Best of luck to you.

@@SwedeStudios yes im not a pc guy i just know ryzen has been difficult for me for some reason. It could be on my end. But my buddy has the same issue as we have similar setups. I know for a fact Audient interfaces do not play well with ryzen they even have a disclaimer on their site about it. The software just sucks with it. Ableton crashes on me out the ass which i never experienced much of on intel. So ill say this is more dependent on what gear or software you have rather than it being a global issue. I will definitely still be back on intel immediately as soon as my next build is ready this year and can’t friggin wait. Good luck with the ryzen builds though. The single core performance on the 13900k looks tasty though along with an asus z790 proart and 64gb of ddr5 ram. I cannot refuse that overkill. Almost time for ryzen to take a dirt nap and will not be looking back. ✌️
