Sweden’s Israel goods ban: Gothenburg plans 'occupying power' law

The local government in the Swedish city of Gothenburg is hoping to pass a law banning the purchase of Israeli goods.
It plans to put Israel on a list alongside Russia and Morocco, saying that taxpayers shouldn’t fund occupying powers.

Even if they don't procure much, it is an example to set for other places in Sweden - & gives a message to their national level over how the people feel & what that national level should do - (including ALSO banning goods at the national level from Israel & taking other actions.) Gothenburg - could also be used as an example for other municipalities AROUND THE WORLD - of what to do. Altogether, it would be another bit of a sign to Israel of their unpopularity with other countries & if enough countries do this - & end joint partnerships of various kinds etc. with Israel - all these things could help. Israelis are NOT going to want to be stuck in their own society - if countries cut off allowing Israeli tourists - if countries won't trade with them - if Israeli students can't go to foreign universities - if countries won't get involved or won't continue partnerships with them on a scientific level etc.
