I watched it last night. The kicker didn't mess up on that extra point attempt. One of the FSU players beat the guy who was supposed to block him & got his hand on the ball.

Yeah FSU got through twice in the same spot. LSU has some special teams work to do on top of…everything else

@@cmillivol98 Yeah, good point. Especially on fielding kicks. We'll have to see over the season if LSU has more problems with kick protection, we'll also have to watch FSU to see if blocking field goals from that direction is a team strength. It could be some of both. It's too early in the season to say for sure.

Matthew, you might also like Urinating Tree's "This week in Sportsball" for the NFL. He did this every week last year, I don't know for sure he'll do it again this year, but it's funny, IMO. It's about the most recent week played, and includes some highlights, and other relevant matters w/r/t that week in the NFL. There are plenty from last year if you want to check it out.

LSU is definitely one of the better programs in the country but they’ve haven’t been as good the last few years since they won a national championship with Joe Burrow and co. Florida State is also a very well-known program but they also haven’t been very good for the last 5 years or so. They last made the championship in 2015 but haven’t reached those heights since.

Also these are two of the biggest and most historic programs playing here but both are kind of struggling to get back to championship level (FSU in particular has been ass). Even though they’re unranked now they’ve both spent a lot of time at #1

What a treat from you Matthew. Superb reaction to this game. I watched it live and knew the ending but it so much fun watching your shock and horror at the end. I'm truly loving the college football reactions. The atmosphere at these games are next level. Now you can see for yourself why college football games are like no other. Many of these players are very young. 19, 20, 21 years old playing on this huge stage with millions of people watching. I can't imagine the pressure to perform and win. love this but the kicker did not choke at all. It is the Defensive lines fault...they could not block the FSU rushers that were trying to block the ball. They allowed 2 blocked kicked this game...unacceptable.

I love watching your channel and your obsession with American football. We all care about our favorite teams, but you are so much more invested than some of us are! 😃🏈 Maybe it's because it's just a normal part of our lives and we don't think twice about it. We still route for our high school team on Friday nights, our favorite college team on Saturday, and our favorite NFL team on Sunday. But Monday morning we have to get up and lead a normal live at work here in the US. I love your enthusiasm and we have it during the games, cheering on our favorite teams and eating a lot of food every weekend. You need to come to a Divison 1 college game here in the US. You will absolutely love it! My favorite game of the weekend??? Virginia Tech lost to Old Dominion, a much smaller school than them... Florida State used to be a powerhouse team, they have 3 national championships and about 18 conference titles. Teams that are not ranked now, can move up and become a ranked team, it changes every week as ranked teams lose and drop down and the unranked teams move up if they continue to win. The state of Florida used to dominate college football at one time, I remember when Florida, Florida State, and Miami used to rank in the top 10 or top 5 on a regular basis back in the day.

Yeah, I forget which year but there was one where FSU, UF, and Miami were ranked 1, 3, and 5 at the end of the season. I think it was in the late 90s. I don't remember which team held which spot, but that's impressive for a state.

Well, no school stays at the top forever, because they will eventually have to go through a period of rebuilding the program. Also, some schools get in trouble with NCAA rules violations and major scandals and will be punished in some way. This can hurt them in recruiting top players for years. Also, some coaches don't work out after a successful coach retire or take a job with bigger school for bigger pay.

@@ItsMatthewReacts coaching change. FSU won the Championship is 2013 and made it to the quarterfinals in 2014. After the 2017 season Texas A&M offered FSU’s coach $75 million so he left. FSU has been rebuilding since.

An interesting feature of college football that doesn't exist in the NFL is that in the last two minutes of each half whenver a team gets a first down the clock stops to give the officials time to reset the chains for a first down. The reason is that teams are trying toscore so fast they get off the next play before the cahins are set if they don't. BUT it also means a team doesn't need a lot of time outs to manage the clock late in the game they just have to keep getting first downs.

This just goes to show that just because a game is close and competitive, that doesn't always mean it's good. This game was a complete joke. It's like neither team wanted to win. I wish they could have both received a loss for it.

The reason why you haven't heard much about fsu is because it plays in the least respected conferences in college football. There are great teams in the ACC look that up. The Seminoles have been going through struggles since their 2013 national championship win. If you want to know who they really are research the name Bobby Bowden and the teams body of work from the 1980s to 2013. You may just enjoy the history, tradition, and pride of the team.
