Swedish With Axel

Күн бұрын

This is lesson 3 in a still-to-be-finished series of beginner-level Swedish lessons. The aim for the finished course is to provide everything you need to understand the structure and grammar of Swedish. From there on you should be able to start studying real Swedish material and already understand the structure and grammar, so that you instead can focus on what's more important - the content.
These lessons are entirely free in every way. They are made solely for the benefit of students of Swedish. You may use, copy, spread, download or upload them in any way you want.
Please forgive me for my accent that appears at times. It's not always easy to switch between two languages with entirely different phonetics ten times a minute.
There are probably several copyright abuses in these videos, namely pictures that have been taken straight off the internet. If you see a picture you own and want it gone, please contact me. However, I do encourage you to realize that it's being used for a good reason. And seriously, if you don't want it to be copied, don't post it on the internet.

Thank you! All feedback is appreciated! At the moment I'm not able to spend enough time on this (making them so simple and easy takes a lot of work), but I do intend to finish the series as soon as possible, and comments of this kind truly motivate me. Lycka till med svenskan!

These lessons are outrageously helpful. I'm about a third of the way through Rosetta Stone but this has helped me even more than it has I think. I'm very grateful for these videos! Tack så mycket!

Great job on the looks of the video, very well organized and easy to understand. Also I love how you refer back to earlier lessons in your lessons, repetition is a great way to remember, I will be sure to watch these again sometime :3

This is pretty good, I like how previously seen words don't have any indication of their English meanings anymore, so one's knowledge of previous videos is put in exercise XD

This is very helpful. I’m doing Duolingo and I learned ”arbetar” for work, ”tycker om” for like and ”årstid” for season.. now I gotta figure out when it’s appropriate to use gillar or tycker om ...etc. 🤯

Jättebra. As I get it jobbat is past participle of jobba. What do you call the grammatical form of past participle in Swedish? And how is the perfect tense called in Swedish?

Evgeny Shumilin Actually, what's used to make the perfect tense in Swedish isn't the past participle. It's a special form of the verb called the Supine, and it always ends in -t. The true past participle (which usually ends in -d) is only used to make the Passive voice, which is outside the scope of this lesson.

I want ask a question. In the former lesson you said we use "vill" with the second verb att ha or att vara. But in this lesson we said "Han ville vinna". So, can we use this verb's present form like this; "Han vill vinna."? Is it right? Thanks a lot.
@duanuzun
@duanuzun 3 жыл бұрын
I think its right yeah. Tried to google the sentence and find out something like this: ...han vill att vi ska vinna... Which translates to ''he wants us to win.'' Umarım soruyu doğru anlayabilmişimdir :p

But is the difference between "Jag åt" and "Jag har ätit" the same that "I ate" and "I've eaten" ?
