Thanks so much! I did this in pocket edition and first try, I got a bee nest on an oak tree with bees inside. I think it upped my chances that I was in a sunflower biome, but hey, it worked nonetheless! I tried it out in my creative world first, but I didn’t have as much luck, considering I spawned in a jungle biome to try it.

How long does it take for a bee to move into its new house? I brought a bee from a flower forest and locked it in a green house with an empty beehive. But it just flew around.

You may have to have a second bee and breed them. Sometimes bees lose their tracking and become useless. They refuse to work and only fly in one direction getting stuck in corners. They are useless at this point. So its best to use those to breed new bees that actually have tracking.

I didn't have this issue: I brought them onto my island from a nest far away and just placed them by the hive and the just started working. My island wasn't even covered in glass like yours.

Is this on a server? If so and the server is being ran with a Spigot plugin, it causes issues. We cant even spawn them on World Of Solitude for that reason. If its on a single player 1.16 map, it is likely a bug that should be reported to Mojang.

Sadly there is no set guaranteed amount of trees you have to plant to get one. Its totally random and it also depends on where you are doing this. If you are in a desert, chances are decreased to almost 0.. Flower forest, chances are increased.

i just grew a tree with a bee nest with it but it didn't spawn with any bees. Does being on peaceful play a factor in this?

Since Bees are not 100% Hostile, similar to Goats, Axolotl and other passive mobs, they should still spawn in peaceful. It may take them a while to come out. If it is raining or it is night. They will wait til day or the rain to stop before coming out. If you get close to the nest and dont hear buzzing noise come from the nest it is empty which does happen sometimes.

@@SweeneyDunston i just ended up growing another tree with a nest 20 mins ago and the bees did spawn the only thing i could think when i took a look out of both of them is that the 1st nest the holes of the nest are block by the tree itself while the 2nd nest isn't so i think for the bee to come out the nest holes must be unblocked. I will test once i get enough iron from golem farm.
