I was making your fried pork spring rolls and didn't have sauce! I also didn't have any fresh peppers at all, so I subbed about 2 tablespoons(I didn't measure) dried chili flakes. I also cooked it for a little longer. It's super spicy, but it worked in a pinch!

I love making my own sauces & I’ve made this several times and it turned out great . I’ve made large quantities and given away to family & friends as gifts and I get more requests every time. Finally, decided to share the video with them so that they can try it out as well 😂. I used corn starch instead as it’s readily available in my grocery store. Thank you once again & I never buy it anymore and besides, the sugar content in this is way less than that readily available in the grocery store.

If you have kids, and if they are used to the store bought version, they may find this recipe too strong and sour (vinegary). I had to add more water, salt, sugar and starch when the final original recipe was done. If I were to make this recipe again, I would cut the vinegar by 1/4 cup.

I LOVE your site Ms. Pailin! I made some Thai "inspired" chili sauce from an improvised recipe back in the summer using coconut sugar, but only because I have to avoid white sugar. It lasts forever, and I used it for my stir fries and fried fish dishes. I'm going to try your recipe next. Thank you for the idea of giving it as a Christmas gift. People love these homemade gifts. Many thanks for your great recipes!

Wow this sauce is amazing 🤩. Just made it and the reason you convinced me to make it was because that side to side comparison you did, absolutely on point! Your explanation was clear and was not hard to make at all, since we like spicy, I can control how spicy 🌶 we want too. You’ve got a new subscriber 😉

Hi Pailin. Wow, the Sauce looks like the bought one here in Europe. My question is, this long red one is a chili or a bell pepper? A chili here in Switzerland is spicy (in Swiss a bell pepper is called "Peperoni", in Germany "Paprika"). When is a real chili, what is the name of this chili?

Since I Eat 'Keto' which most now realize is very popular, could you provide a few comments in future videos about ingredients that could be substituted. Like in this 'Sweet Chili Sauce Recipe', maybe a Sugar Substitute and one instead of the corn starch or tapioca. Of course, you know better your viewer, and I realize you might have to study up on best Keto practices, or not. Thanks. Such enjoyable videos. Good job!
