What people nowadays don’t understand is that if a joke is gonna be any good, it usually is gonna be offensive in the process. Jokes play off of stereotypes. They’re suppose to do that. They teach us to laugh at ourselves and move on. Every race has a stereotype, but that does not mean that every person of that race acts like that. I wish people would learn to laugh at themselves and each other and go on with their lives, instead of trying to get offended by everything.

Well, his first old puppet was cranky and hated everything, his first middle eastern puppet was a suicide bomb terrorist, his first mexican puppet was a literal jalapeño that illegally got into the states and got his green card later. Considering all that, having a stereotype on a black character was completely expected. I mean, considering every single puppet he has, has quite a lot of stereotypes, having a black doll without any stereotype at all would, in my opinion, be actually offensive. To be fair, I think Sweet Daddy Dee wouldn't be super for the overall cast, because most of his act is playing around management and black community, which at the time would get outdated really quick. Which is why Melvin isn't as popular either. I thought for the longest time that SDD wasn't on anymore for the same reasons Melvin wasn't untill I learned how silly Americans can be.

Let’s pretend for a second that Sweet Daddy D was a real man, okay? Hear me out. Sweet Daddy D is a successful black man who is the manager for a comedy legend! His mannerisms are his own, he pokes fun at the white man, the one who works for him, and is confident in who he is and how he is seen. How, I ask with all sincerity, how would ANYONE seriously consider him “racist”? I mean, if he was a real guy, he would be on a pedestal and praised for being in such a position of power over a white man nowadays! Personally, I like Sweet Daddy D, and I hope he returns someday! There is a lot of potential for riffing on Jeff (and possibly kicking a few SJWs in the teeth) that could be further explored. For any SJWs about to shriek at me, Isn’t it technically racist to remove him from acts because he is portrayed as a black man? Riddle me that, Batman!

While it is sad that we don't see Sweet Daddy Dee on stage anymore, I'm sure he's just backstage with his *clears throat* "friends" counting up the money Jeff makes.

Next to Achmed, i'd say Sweet Daddy Dee is the funniest and my personal fave character that Jeff came up with! With the others I'd clamour to bring back SD Dee!
