I did a test run before thanksgiving to see if it was thanksgiving worthy. I’m married to a chef so needless to say my family is picky! They loved it!!! I served it with turkey hill cookie butter ice cream. Sooooo good! Hope everyone else enjoys it tomorrow!♥️

i have made dump cakes in the past but i always melted my butter and just ladled it on the cake mix so i do not understand y u slice the butter? u r the second person that has used this method thx

The recipe I received from MIL 50 yrs ago and it was more than 30 yrs old. It did the pats of butter. I was thinking the other day if I could use melted butter since I always hated the slicing up method. Thank you so much!!! Now I can make them the easy way!!😁😁

I’ve done it both ways, seems like the pats made the timing work better for a crunchy topping. That topping is the best part! Use a butter pecan cake mix, TRUST.
