You must not get the reference. NYPD is pretty famous in the buff community known for using all the tones imaginable when responding to calls. The vehicles in this video did about the same. It was a joke saying that VPD here used more siren tones than NYPD.

@@DFW_04 They previously used the Tomar 940 (primarily just the Yelp and HyperYelp tones), they then moved to the Code3 Z3 when they went to Chargers, but recently they have been using the Federal Signal Pathfinder on some patrol units, and SoundOff Signal bluePRINT 500 Series on K9 units and some Traffic units.

The siren coming from the crown vic is not something i've heard in canada before. Usually in Canada they use the plain old wail, yelp and phaser with a little bit of air horn.

The siren is called the Tomar 940. It has been one of my all time favourite VPD sirens back in the day.

Wonder why VPD uses that piece of garbage Code 3 Z3 siren. That thing sucks. The tones sound like an ambulance, its full of glitches and difficult to use as it is not durable (the buttons get gummed up and stuck). Since they already use the Fed Sig Valor and Rumbler, they should stick with the smart siren or pathfinder.
