They were all extremely talented guys, Brian had the great vocals, Andy played a mean lead guitar, Steve was Ace on the Bass, and Mick could really thrash those drums. And vocally, they all harmonised really well. Probably one of the "Best Bands" of the 70's.

Six Teens was Brian´s fav song. It should have been number 1 on UK charts as it´s a phenomal hit single and many many bands have been borrowing that sound of the song. It wasn´t only a hit, it was a story, like Queen´s Bohemian Rhapsody and we can hear Queen borrowing that sound one way or another. Great song and still Fresh!

Ein echter The Sweet Hammer Song, als der Song als Single veröffentlicht wurde, lief er z.B. auf unserem Rummelplatz an fast allen Buden rauf und runter. Klasse allein die Akustikgitarren in Verbindung mit den E-Gitarren, ein wahnsinniger Druck im Zusammenspiel mit Bass und Drums. Aber dann die Weltklasse Vocals von Brian im Wechsel mit Steve, diese Steigerung im Song. Solche Songs gibt es heute nicht mehr und wird auch nicht mehr geben!!! Beste Grüße, Horst Lemke, Musikproduzent, Germany. Ps. Die Aufnahmetechnik kann vom Sound auch heute noch locker mithalten, einfach TOP,, es gab damals nichts besseres!

My absolute favourite Sweet song. I loved this band when I was a kid back in the 70's and saved my pocket money....or (usually begged my mum) borrowed so's I could buy their records! My first was ' Coco' and then many others were to follow....Blockbuster,Teenage Rampage, Fox on the run (my next fav) Action and Lies in your eyes etc.....great memories and THE main reason why I've been a life long rock and metal fan. Reflecting back on these lyrics. I am 55 now and back then when I first started listening to the american release Desolation boulevard of Sweet Fanny Adams I was 16. Smokin our weed and drinkin our beer we really thought we were one of the 6 teens indestructable. Well my friend mark who turned me on to this band killed himself at 23. I have lost a lot of friends in this life and life does'nt always go on and it definitely ain't easy but you just gotta be strong if your one of the 6 teens.

absolutely no radio play in my area in 74/75 when i bought Desolation Boulevard, had never heard of them but they looked like rockers. Man what an eye opener!! I couldn't wait to play that album for my buddies! Loved every track on it! Eventually had to buy another as we wore it out! Still have it on vinyl today, also on cassette and 8 track!! Still love it to this day! Always played very loud lol
