They were a great band back in the day, perhaps 2nd only to T Rex in the glam rock days. I was 9 when I first heard them and still listen from time to time. There was something about Sweet, real star quality, unique sounds and superb vocals by Connolly.

I was young also when I heard them. I’ve always been a lover of music and dancing since I was a kid and now I’m 55. And I’ve got such a variety of songs on my playlists. And this past year, I don’t know why, but it’s like I’ve become so obsessed with them!! I actually got a reply back from Lisa Priest which was pretty cool! But they were a great band who all together they were just perfect! No one could ever replace these guys. I listen to them every day/night and never get tired of hearing them!! They won huge international fame, a stack of top ten hits, were widely regarded as rock gods, fantasised about by millions of teenage girls (and boys!), earned a ton of cash, and we are still loving their music and paying tribute to them 50 years later. I think the 4 of them were the perfect match to make this group how awesome they were. I think if you replaced just 1 of them , never knowing whichever band member it would be, I don't think the group would've been as how we love and appreciate them !!
