Hi Rachel I'm just like you,I keep all packaging that can be used again. My Mum was the same,keeping elastic bands,bits of string,paper bags plus she would "side to middle" flat bed sheets when they were showing signs of wear and she even turned collars on my Dads shirts if they were showing signs of wear too. She was a homemaker in the 1940s/1950s when things were either on ration over here in the UK or hard to find in the 50s. I think I've copied her!

Mmmm, honey butter sounds delicious 😋. Here's some info you don't need but I'm gonna impart it on you none the less. I live in Kerry (Southwest Ireland) where that butter gets it's name. Although I'm not sure why because it's actually made in County Cork, a few hours away & imported over to you guys! Now, there you go! 😉

Put the butter cut into squares in the microwave 10 secs at a time. 💁🏼‍♀️☺️

Been there … waiting for butter to come to room temperature. I’ve found that if I open up the wrapper (keeping the stick of butter on top of the wrapper) and then cut the butter into tablespoon(ish) size slices it warms up much faster. Looks like yummy honey butter! Will have to make some soon. Thanks for the beautiful content, Rachel!💖

Hint: Try turning the light in your oven on and putting the butter there next time. It will trap the heat from the light, just don't turn the oven on! lol

If you get two comments from me, I'm sorry...it's about minus 22 degrees here in Wyoming right now and our electricity has flickered a couple of times. I had one going that I thought I sent but don't see it so it's somewhere! I saw a site on Facebook that made me think of you immediately...Goodwill Librarian has some great ideas of decorations using books! There's a wall sized snowman made by turning the page side outward in a pattern and a wall sized shelf tree using green bindings! She adds a few other items and it's wonderful! I'm a retired teacher and I always loved our school library decorated using books. Hope you aren't as cold as we are...it's going to be back to normal soon but I'd rather set records some other way than below zero temperatures! Merry Christmas!

My cousin's Grandma used to make Honey Butter for her fried bread dough....so yummy!! She also used Powdered sugar, cinnamon & sugar and glaze for the fried bread dough as well.😋🍞

I don't know if you can or not, but the plastic lids are ones I use to pack with gifts. Thank way the recipient doesn't have to keep putting the two piece lid on after every use. I just add it to the gift.

I didn't gift them with jars just because I wanted to stick to that classic asthetic and the colors didn't go. I think the metal lids worked out though. 🥰

Love Ideals! I’m not sure but I think some of the hardcover books were compilations of art, stories, poems and recipes from prior issues, sort of “best of the best” with some of the artwork paired with different stories or poems than it originally appeared with. Seeing these recently in your videos makes me wonder if they still publish bi-monthly or quarterly issues or just special holiday issues. I keep intending to research each time I see them in your videos and then get sidetracked! Going to do it right now!
