I was looking at this unit on Wayfair and thought I would look for a review. Luckily yours was the first video! That lid is too wierd and if sweetsavant doesn't like it, it's a no go for me. Even at a sale price of $159. Thank you!!

Got my wife the Newwave for xmas, we both love it. The lid is not a problem for either of us. Its actually quiet easy to use.

The air fryer lid actually has two places to hold and lift. Top and front.

I'm loving my Nuwave Duet. Honestly it appears to be nearly identical to the Emeril Pressure Air Fryer and some of the other knockoffs. I think these are all just rebranded with some slight design changes and different controls. The air fryer lid is easy to manage once you know how to hold it. I can even use one hand to remove it. I agree the skimpy little stand isn't well designed, but I added a little double stick tape wrapped around parts of the base and it has helped keep it from slipping, so it's actually nice so you don't have to place the cover upside down on the counter like you do with many of these other air fryers. You can't beat the price right now either at Kohl's ($116 including tax).

Oh no. I was really rooting for the Nuwave Duet. I always get Nuwave products because they are so good and reliable. This is a disappointment. I was hoping it would perform better and be easier to use. Thank you for sharing your experience. Although that recipe you made looks super good, I think I will go with the Ninja Foodi. I've heard so many excellent reviews and I trust your opinion most of all. If you dislike it, I will pass. Thanks again!

What I would like in one of those pressure cookers/air fryers is that the inside of the lids to be easily to access to clean off the grease, and grime!

One tip if you ever run into that problem where you have too much liquid into your sweet potatoes. If you have some instant mashed potatoes laying around you could add may be a 4th of a cup to thicken and absorb the extra liquid. This also works for soups and stews where you may nor want to use a cornstarch or flour slurry.

I was wondering about the lid handles too. Seemed very awkward at first but then I realized they had to place the back one the way they did to clear your hand of the extremely hot exhaust fan. Once I found that out (the hard way, ouch) I learned how to orient my hand to lift easier.

Only problem I have is that the recipes are very limited. Not very clear on the instructions either. Hundreds of presets and open spots for your own presets. Go the extra and get the 12 function unit, the basic combo only has 1 setting for cooking without pressure. I have a whole chicken about to come out of mine. I love it, but it does take up space.

Very tempting to get this. I have a 2K generator and would like an all in one system to take by the river and cook fresh caught fish. The entire set-up could fit in my grand Marquis. 1500 watt jonda generator. $210 for the delux package delivered would love to see someone use a 2K Honda generator and see how well it works. Great way to sell these to tailgater !! NuWave you listening?

I’m not sure if you read but you need to allow time before taking off the hot lid off after pressure cooking!! Anywho I have made Ribs and chicken all types of ways. I think I have cooked almost everything I can think of. Lol 😂

My opinion is to forget the air fryer lid stand when the lid is hot. I use 1/2 baking sheet with a wire rack to set the hot lid on. Much quicker and safer. To me the only use for the included lid stand is for storing the extra lid in a cabinet. I already have other pressure cookers but wanted to try an air fryer and went for this. So far the air fryer has been working very well for me. I really do like all the preset functions that I only use for air frying. I have had to adjust the air frying times (usually less time) for some items to prevent over cooking.

I got one as a gift and the air fryer part is fine but the space is to small. I find you have to put small batches to fry ...haven't used pressure cooker part yet . The system is very bulky

I wish I wouldve saw this video before I brought it and returned it , I would've saved time and frustration, very good video, I agree the lid is a safety issue , and difficult , for a person like my self with arthritis , it shouldn't be that difficult to lock it , but it kept saying open lid , the whole purpose to buy ,was not to use my chronic pain hands, so disappointed, I keep searching for an easier , and more safe product ,

The air fry lid is bulky and when it's hot it worse. Not having a secure handle is a recipe for disaster! The chops and potatoes were delicious, though. I'll definitely make that again. Thanks for watching!

The fact that it doesn't have something so as a hinge for the airfryer is a major turn off. The new ninja sucks as well. Now, the one ninja made in 2018ish was great and lasted for 6 yrs.

You don't care for the machine but your food look great. If its dry its cause you didn't spray it with oil or rub some oil on anything you cook in any air fryer..it locks in the juice

I think the recipe has one taking off the lid to do too many things for it to also be any real pleasure in even using it! But I will try it, it has sat on my country for over 2 months now Because it seem so over whelming! I miss my Pressure Cooker XL but it was getting too old..
