I support the philosophy of doing one, or a few things REALLY well. I have owned and used several high end reverbs but didn't use half or more of the modes (Ventris, Empress, Strymon, etc.) after I lived with them for a year, or so. I wish there were more contemporary pedals that simply focused on doing one thing great, and that one thing only. So many new pedals with multiple effects built in, but I imagine most of us find the setting/sound we prefer and just stick with that one 99% of the time. Am I wrong? I wouldn't spend $400 for one of these, but I would probably buy just the Spring reverb by itself for $250. And don't even get me started on the EHX stuff...where you get 11 different modes and they're all mediocre sounding at best...

It doesn't cost them less to include fewer effects, so the pricing you suggest probably doesn't fit with their business model. They are very expensive though.

nah, this pedal isn't for synths if you are thinking of using it for ambient music, you'd use this to mimick some old record that might have had a vintage ARP or Moog synth bass or something (I doubt that a record like that even exists) also, no MIDI/Expression input, no stereo, and not that great sounding for the asking price, this should have been $200-250 or something uncompetitive product for the price, just lol

@@Jason75913 This pedal is 100% capable of being an ambient pedal for ambient music. If you don’t believe me go watch vintage king audios demo of the hall setting. The reverb tails last 58 minutes....

If UA just did a less expensive version with the mere spring reverb, I would very likely hearken to it as reverb pedals go, I either just pick one between spring, plate and hall and stick to it even on my multi-FX units I have and spring has always been the one lacking in authenticity on those things whereas the plate and hall were well enough. And now with a couple more amps w/o actual springs, I'm missing that ole sound. Granted there are some decent spring reverb pedals available with some actually using springs beyond that behemoth spring reverb head from Fender, they just don't quite make and based on this quick demo, I'd say UA did a very good job of recapturing that magic in this pedal; I just don't need all the extra stuff I'll likely seldom if ever use and that is too often an issue with today's pedal makers is they don't cater to niche, but mass marketing ideas.

Good quality audio processing isn't done with cheap components. By the way: The UAFX Dream '65 is the unit for you, I think - although not less expensive.

You can convert XLR to TS with a cable to get your signal through pedals. Keep in mind you'll be outputting the same level as any signal from a guitar would after this, so DI it before going into a mixer or something.

If you use the pedal as outboard gear through an interface you can send whatever you want through this pedal. Keyboard,synth,guitar, vocals. The pedal does line levels as well. If you’re using a mixer you can send to the the pedals and return back in the mixer.

GREAT PEDAL, but still no mention of: Input / Output Impedance, Bit depth, or Sampling frequency. In another UA post they stated that the algorithm was the SAME as the Plugin, and tweaked for the pedal. @UCKTQROb4IchK0h5P0So29Fw "Same core algo, tweaked for the pedal. The quality is the same."Not hating here, but what's going on? Is it the same algo or is it a new design.

They are not the same algorithms. They say that on their livestream. Also, the Jack’s can accept line levels and high impedance levels as well.

Lmao $400? You can get everything this can do with the boss reverb rv-6 for $150, and if you're feeling a little adventurous you could even settle on a walrus audio fathom/slo for half of Goldens price tag.

Yup I got the RV-6. Its great. I prurposly listened to this to see if I might want to think about replacing it. but the RV-6 doesn't show any aging yet.
