To all commentators - my deepest apologies. I didn't realize I had enabled comment moderation so didn't realize there were comments. I hope I've fixed that now. Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to comment. Sorry to have missed them. I'm working on Part 2. Extensive travel for work kept me away from my studio. I'm back. Thanks again for your wonderful comments.

That's very cool :) definitely something I havn't seen before. may I ask what brand of clay the gold is? usually I don't think the metalic clays look very shiny but this one is really pretty. my best guess is premo? Great job on the video! :)

Wow! I never would of thought of making one. I like the part where you used the rubber band to help keep a straight cut.

Loved your video! One question: how wide was the inside strip of polymer? How do you determine how wide it is depending on the size of your rock? I am anxious to see part two. Your video is circulating on Pinterest so I know others are interested too! I realize your post was 3 years ago, but I hope you will continue your tutorial. Thank you!

Donna, sorry not to respond earlier. Your comment was awaiting approval and I'm relatively inexperienced so missed it. My apologies. To determine the internal width, I'm not all that precise but you can ensure you have enough clay by making sure it fits around the external circumference. It will be slightly too big so I place the strip on the inside, overlap the ends and use my blade to do a clean cut through both layers of clay and then smooth to conceal the seam. Hope this helps. Part 2 is in the making. Thanks for viewing this video.
