@@DrDinoNuggies I admit, its super fun to listen to her nerd out. I am legally bind, so watching racing sounds like a miss use of my time. Only because I know my brain would not be able to process any of what little i was seeing. I did tell my car obsessed cousin about formula 1 though. He sounded very thrilled. I did not mention that Amanda got to be in a McClairin though. He would have been super jealous.

At the Austrian Grand Prix you normally can buy a pitwalk ticket for around 10€ so it's very very affordable. It's limited and you gotta buy it pretty fast when it's released since it's gonna sell out in around a day but it's 100% worth it. I did it two years ago and I got to do the pitwalk around a busy time and could watch all the teams practice pitstops/work on their cars up close. Also we were allowed to walk around a part of the track and just chill there for over an hour and it was a great photo opportunity. Even got to see/meet both Sebastian Vettel and Carlos Sainz at that pitwalk. It was absolutely amazing and I 100% can understand what you mean by chasing that hype for the rest of your life.

It’s nice to see others in America get into F1, or just other forms of racing aside from the norm here. I’ve never been to a Grand Prix, but I would love to go to Suzuka the most. Not just because it’s Japan, but because it seems you get the most value out of what you pay based off of other reviews I’ve seen (even if you get the “worst” tickets). Plus I just love the track layout and the S curves so much. I wish I could’ve seen both of the moves Yuki pulled there too around the outside!

You should do the Canadian GP in Montreal. It’s an amazing city, and they really turn it on for the GP weekend. There’s F1 themed events all over downtown for the full weekend. It’s a classic circuit that usually has good racing. There’s some really great hotels to stay in right downtown, and then you can just take the subway to the island. The island is great to walk around, and they usually have a lot going on in the infield.

As someone who has lived near Suzuka for the last 10ish years, going there by public transport can be a lot even as a "local", kudos. Japanese fans have a whole other reverence for their favorite players, singers, etc. They get worshipped like gods with their own merch and everything! I heard stories of people traveling across the country to see their biases, or in the case of Ohtani, across the ocean. But overall, Japanese fans are truly the best. I've had the best times at sports games, festivals and concerts in Japan. Honda is huge in Suzuka, with the factory and the rugby team. The Honda hate is insane to me, but I don't know much about F1 granted. It's crazy anyone would use that as an insult.

The Suzuka circuit is amazing…i had the chance to go in 2016, and i had tickets at the Dunlop curves. Honestly one of the best circuits on the calendar. One of the bonuses of having a general ticket is that on the Thursday you get pit lane access. I think i spent a good 3 HOURS there…it was absolutely fantastic and i met so many wonderful Japanese fans. After the race, i walked all the way around the track to the last corner before making my way off. Hot tip - if you stay in Yokkachi, its easier to get to the track. You also need to go to Shikoku station and catch the shuttle bus or you can walk to the circuit. Thankfully i had friends who had gone and said to stay there instead, because Nagoya is a good hour away on the train…not so fun after a whole day at the track. Whenever anyone asks which track they should go to, i hands down always say Suzuka. (Ps. Woooo mclaren fan here too! And i need that Suzuka steering wheel pillow in my life!)

The Miami GP made me cringe away from the TV so hard last year. I had to mute it for a bit. I've lived in Fort Lauderdale (technically Oakland Park in the incredibly gay Wilton Manors area) for 4 1/2 years now, I lot of places to check out or avoid if you want any recommendations (food, interesting places/activities, hole-in-the-wall locations, etc.)!
