This is the very best video I believe that we will ever see of E22. I really enjoyed this well captioned proof of excellence in ground photography! Androcat, you are truly the best friend that we have for your professional capture of that soaring episode! I loved it, and wonder why eagles don’t get dizzy! Wow! Just wow! Typing through the tears. What a great tribute to our wonderful 22, tysm! So fitting during these "leaving days". She's HUGE! I take her for granted from the cam angles, but wow. She had a spurt about 2 wks ago, it seemed. I no longer care what sex she is, it won't matter soon, and we'll never know, but she's my "little" Squeenix forever. ❤️ Nearing a great end to a doubtful and tragic but ultimately wonderful season. Many days I didn't think we'd be here. You did it, M15!! I hope we see him back this fall, if the tree holds (maybe humans can shore it up?), or at the alternate nest, but if not, I will dream of all of them soaring their best eagle lives and M's continuing story, after a spa vacation. And in a few years, 21 & 22's own nests and E's. I wish we could see it all, forever, but seeing this unfold has been a real experience I will never forget. Thanks to everyone who has filmed and of course the two cams, so we could see the nest and pasture drama daily! I will miss the cams over their break, watching the pond, horses, other birds and animals, weather, and stupid cars and too bright stores lol. Like all nests I watch, great windows on the world. Have a great and deserved rest, cam operators and all involved! ❤️🦅🦅🦅🦅 Magnificent M (no other name necessary!), E21 (Windswept, I called her), and Squeenix E22 (started out Phoenix, or Phee, but of course ended up Squeenix!). Lemon Lady. They always look bigger in person too lol. I never care about what sex they are. What matters to me is they are safe, fledge, and disperse. We were so blessed to be able to witness this season, despite the heartbreak of losing Harriet. Big thanks to the Pritchett's for getting two cams back online. I will miss the pond cam. There is always something to see, even if the eagles are not around. It will be fun to see who M15 shows up with when breeding season gets her. He is our miracle baby who went thru extreme hardship along with E21 and survived due to his amazing incredible Dad M15! His surveying his home saying his final goodbye is heartbreaking for me! @@androcat12 Good morning 👋 Androcat! M15 back this morning on Cam1 @ 6:20:53 and on Cam3 flies into the nest @ 6:38:59 to pick up food dropped off and flies over pond 6:40:02 with food. He must be lookin for E22 because the food was there overnight. 😢 Do you think it's unusual for M15 to show up like that at those hours when he hasn't been to the nest lately? Then a bird I think it's a crow on Cam3 @ 6:50:12 flies on th right side of screen. No squees, probably not E22. Then 6:59:38 M15 flies back to the pond... Hope and pray E22 is doing well. De D. Thank you! I did stop by this morning, looking and listening for E22, no luck. M15's behavior is normal. I am sure food drops have occurred out of cam view. M always provides for his E's until they disperse. Remember, E22 was independent, as juvies are at 154 days old. M's freebies to E22 are more supplementing, rather than providing all of E22's needs. E22 knew how to follow/find Dad. My guess is when E22 didn't come find Dad, or Dad didn't find E22, he brought the food to the nest and left it for E22. M was there at first light, looking for E22. Food does not get wasted, so M recovered the food. I will give it a few days before I think E22 has really dispersed.

@@mindylee7488 I've just always gone with the classic difference in the head. A quick short rise with the crown placement & shorter beak gives the smaller fuller rounder head appearance. Females have larger heads, elongated to the back, flatter surface with the crown set further back before the feathers break (sort of like an aircraft carrier flight deck, 😆) and a much longer beak, all like 21 had.

As glad and proud as I am for them both, I can't hold back the tears at the thought of never again knowing 22's whereabouts or safety, even though I know s/he is so amply prepared and ready to take on the world 😭 Thank you for this video and all of your wonderful ground coverage ❤️🦅🦅🦅💗

CrisaM. YW 🤗. Let the tears flow, it's ok to feel that way for a bit. Our hearts get attached to them, and this season, with losing our beautiful and amazing Harriet, I think many of us held on to E22, more so than we normally do. We got to watch E22 growing up for a longer time than normal, and we became even more attached. I truly believe E22 was independent, as are other juvies 154 days old (on 6-10). We watched E22 practice fishing, and try to hunt. I believe E22 was likely having some success fishing, and hunting will take more time. M15 has always provided for his E's until they disperse, so E22 was likely getting out of cam view freebies from Dad. I believe last night's food drop was evidence of that. He didn't find E22 elsewhere, and E22 did not come find him, so he dropped it at the nest. He was there at first light, looking for E22, and recovered the food when E22 didn't show up, as you saw. I was there also, looking for and listening for E22. If E22 does not return within a few days, I will be out celebrating somewhere. I will celebrate the fledge and dispersal of both of the E's, something I prayed for every day. There were days I wasn't sure it would happen. I knew M15 would give everything he had, but there were so many intruder challenges to overcome. M15 is the greatest Dad of all. It truly is the happiest time, even though I will miss the E's, like I always do. We were so blessed to even witness this season. I cannot imagine all of this happening, and no cams to witness it. I am so thankful the Pritchett's were able to get the two cams running. I hope you will find a way, through your tears, to know we have had our prayers answered. I will think of E22 every time I see the sunrise. 💜🦅🌞🦅💜

Cheryl N. Hi Cheryl. I am actually out of town for a long weekend get away. 18:28:20 is an eagle, good eye! 19:33:44 is a pair of Muscovy ducks. If you know how to do frame by frame review, watch for the white on the top side of their wings. The ducks are in my video for 6-16, from the morning, so you will see the white on their wings there also. I just got up, and I am loading the video now. It will be published once I add the description and time stamps. Hopefully here shortly. 💜

Candy R. E22 is an amazing young juvie, so fun to watch. We don't often get to see them practice fishing and hunting on cam, so that was cool to see. Bands do not allow us to know anything about the juvies unless they are deceased and the body/band is located. USFWS are extremely difficult to read.

Excellent video Androcat. E22 is a brilliant and skilled young eagle. Her flying maneuvers are amazing. I saw on a website forum they call her Harri, short for Harriet. And i think they call E21 Ethel, not sure. I'd call her Atsila which means fire in cherokee for her firey spirit like Harriet and M. This may be the last on camera we will see her this season, so many thanks to you for this special footage. Keep your head on a swivel and fly high my friend and beauty Atsila E22. ❤

Thank you for this. I remember that morning well... it had been a couple days since I had heard E22 arrive at the nest tree at sunrise. That was my favorite time of the day. LOL She had been off camera for a few days and there were no local videos. I was so sad, I thought she had left for good. But then, June 10th, she came back to say good-bye. You just know when they make the rounds like that, it's probably the end of their stay. I miss her terribly. I have watched this nest for years. There was something about this little one that captured my heart like no other eaglet. I think it started when she was not getting food after Harriet disappeared. I could not watch but I could not leave her either. Then the toe nibbling, the nonstop squees, the Rocky fight on the beach with E21, the turtle chase. I just love her! What a magnificent eagle she turned out to be and I just know she and E21 are going to have long lives after what they learned in this nest from the BEST DAD ON THE PLANET!

It was hard, knowing it was likely the last of Harriet’s offspring, and E22 had to leave and start their travels. We were blessed with an extended stay, getting to watch E22 growing up. So many wonderful memories with E22, and all of Harriet’s offspring. M15 showed everyone what an amazing eagle Dad he is. All of us who already followed the nest knew that anyway. 💜🦅🦅💜

btricksey. Thank you for your kind words. This was really fun to see in person. As you can tell in the video, E22 is so cool and confident. The osprey swoops did not ruffle E22 at all. The osprey flew in intentionally to swoop at E22. They do swoop the eagles sometimes. The osprey fish across the street, so they don't like the eagles perching or fly around the area, because no one wants their fish stolen. The osprey and the turkey vultures are beautiful birds. I love vultures, and record them sometimes also. If interested, there is a "Vulture Love" playlist on my channel.

Thank you for that, I will definitely go and check the list💚 I know I'm super biased with many birds - I love and admire so many- so know exactly why the ospreys aren't very keen on bald eagles. Can't blame them. Their dual display was something I know I will watch again in future many times; it was as if they were putting on an aerial display show! Thankfully they weren't aggressive to hurt each other. In my fictional world, I'm thinking that our little baby - who was bonked a lot, slapped accidentally with a fish, having one eye badly inflamed, then often going hungry as a little one - was staying long enough to show off her/his skills of fishing& chasing prey, swooping birds and fiercely protecting food and nest. As if to show us -nest lovers- that she/he will start the subadult journey with a little bit of extra chance. I hope to see again both siblings here one day💚🥹

Kookie Nut Quacker. Hi there, and thank you for the kind words. I am not sure if this was the bon voyage flight. This was the last time E22 was seen on cam, and then from the ground when no longer in cam view. I am not aware of anyone seeing E22 after this. It is not known exactly when E22 left, just when E22 was last in cam and ground view. I stuck around for a bit after this, but did not see or hear E22 during that time. 💜🦅

@vikkikay4502. 6-10 was the last time E22 was seen on cam view, and was also my last time to see E22. I am not aware of anyone seeing E22 in the area since then. With each passing day, it’s more likely E22 has indeed started their journey. This is what we prayed for, the E’s to make it to fledge and dispersal. We couldn’t have asked for more, after losing our beautiful and amazing Harriet. The start of next season will be here soon enough. I look forward to seeing M15’s next chapter. Ieva Bernieks. The osprey is not a match for an eagle. They are, however, very maneuverable, and will swoop the eagles. I don't know what M15 would do, but I suspect he may run an osprey off, if need be. E22 did not need M15's help though. That might have been Dad up above, just way too far to tell.
