This is the most enjoyable and relaxed season ever since I started nest watching. No failed hatch, no lack of food, nearly no sibling bullying, no bad weather, M and F are on top of their game. What a perfect family 😍🤩

Thank you Lady Hawk for the anatomical descriptions. I see that what I call "bird lips" is more correctly called the "gape"! When eaglets are young, they also look like they have pug noses--haha. I love seeing the E's cuddling together--like one big two-headed eaglet. That majestic appearance of their parents takes about 5 years to develop.

I've been watching this nest since E9 and I swear this pair of eaglets has been the most friendly and loving towards one another. They fight and peck sometimes- but not to the level other E's of the past have. What sweetie pies!!

Our National Symbol displayed for all to see at the Inauguration Ball last night, with our Eagle with a ribbon extending from it's beak saying "Semper Fidelis". When I saw that I thought of "our" eaglets, and the constant care their parents give them. Dedication and constant care. I just love these two. As simple as that. Not so little E25 has had a terrific sibling relationship so far with E24. Merely acquiesces. And it’s never long until Dad shows up to tandem feed. Their nest should be a model for parenting. Eagles and humans alike. It’s all about Balancing needs and sharing the responsibilities and resources. PS. That new NE31 is a real looker!
