Thanks for your videos, they are really enjoyable and informative. I have just bought the Tatula 732 Swimbait rod 100g max and a Tatula 300h reel - what would be the biggest Murray Cod you caught you caught on that rod - thanks

Hey Jakko, thanks for all the great info, was wondering if you use mono backing on your Tatula 300/400 or if you load it all up with braid? Just got a Tat 300 and working out how much braid I need to fill it up, or whther to just get 150m and use mono backing...
@JakkoDavis3 жыл бұрын
Hey mate, yea I normally run some 25lb mono as backing on the bigger reels. Duno exactly how much but i aim to get at least 100metres of braid on the reel. That's where the multi colour jbraid is really handy

60lb Jinkai for the win. Haven’t had it break on big barra. I agree re. fluro it’s too painful to tie and the knots don’t bite down the same way as mono. Jinkai is cheap too...

Hey jakko what are your thoughts on the large size snake lure with two hooks I missed a cracker yesterday on it and I just wanted to ask you
@JakkoDavis3 жыл бұрын
hey mate is that the topwater lure?
@lucagaeta81163 жыл бұрын
Yeah mate it is
@JakkoDavis3 жыл бұрын
@@lucagaeta8116 Yea surface is a hard one as you'll always miss more more strikes than subsurface. They definitely get the cod interested but, hopefully you still the next one

Gday mate, just wondering what the lightest weight the td black mother can throw? will it throw the 220 dowzswimmer or gigantarels easily?
@JakkoDavis2 жыл бұрын
hey mate, yep will throw those fine, perfect for it. Really can't go to light, I've thrown 5'8 spinnerbaits on it and its fine

Have you extended the treble on that 10’ mag draft?
@JakkoDavis3 жыл бұрын
I run a treble at the front just a split ring to the harness and then add another treble back around the bottom fin. Crimped on with 80lb fluro from the harness

Would that 7.6ft Tatula rod be suitable for bomb casting 7oz swimbaits into the horizon?
@JakkoDavis3 жыл бұрын
probably get the heavier model for those size baits mate
@MBR8433 жыл бұрын
@@JakkoDavis whats the maximum weight you would comfortably cast on that rod? Do u feel the Gigantrel is close to maxing it or is there more room to move? Nice vid by the way.
