You should look into an organization called Seafood Watch. It helps you learn about the implications of the seafood you eat, so you can support industries that cause less shark bycatch. You might also like the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy. They have a bunch of videos here on KZbin that look at the work it takes day in and day out to conserve large sharks.

I think that Yes Theory is the only KZbin channel I have ever come across that has simultaneously made me feel deep emotions, entertained me, and taught me more about the world and the people in it than any other place on the internet. This video alone made me feel compassion for sharks and their species and taught me not to trust the monstrous image of sharks that is so often painted in the media. Thank you Yes Theory for everything you have done and let's all seek discomfort!

When i saw you guys were making a video about this i had to watch it immediately! This video brings so much emotion, heavy and delightful, as i've always loved the ocean since i was young. When i was about 8-9, i learned a lot about the danger humans impose on whales, dolphins, and sharks and even tried my best to advocate and create a website at the time to educate my peers, and even went on to present my website and the donation links of the organizations helping to fight protect this magnificent creatures at the time and always asked those to donate for my birthdays instead of presents. I've followed Ocean Ramsay for about as long as i've followed you guys and to see these two worlds conjoin was amazing. I know my boyfriend thinks i'm crazy, but i'd absolutely love the opportunity to swim and dance freely next to the power of these beauties. One day i'll make it happen.

AMAZING video, as usual... Incredible. Also, 7:31 I know they say sharks make mistakes but if you watch the channel "the malibu artist" a drone operator films interactions with sharks and surfers/ beach goer's; at LEAST 75% of the time the shark notices the person in the water it repositions itself to behind the "target". I believe this is why almost EVERY shark attack you hear about that survived says something like, "I never saw it coming".

This one is particularly moving - as a diver of Chinese descent I’ve had a hard time trying to convince my family members to stop eating shark’s fin and be more discerning of where their seafood comes from. Sharks are beautiful, essential creatures to marine ecosystems and it’s great that Thomas and Tommy got over their fears and did the shark dive to help spread the word. Love your work, guys, keep it up! ❤ 🦈 ❤

Amazing effort to bring about awareness. The way we eat is destroying the planet, as individuals we can make better choices. Moving toward a plant based diet is a small step but this is the impact it will have.

I'm 47 and pretty set in my ways.. that being said, every single video I have watched of Yes Theory and Seek Adventure has opened my eyes, brought tears to them, inspired me to be a better person, more adventurous, kinder, more loving and honest.. You boys are amazing, every single one of you and I love what you are doing for me personally and for those we don't know of.. Please, please, please keep inspiring others to do better. If I can change, we can all change. ~Trey

This gotta be one of the most beautiful things a human can experience! Like she said, we gotta treat these animals with a high healthy level of respect and they need to be protected. Mike's story it's crazy but his perspective on it it's absolutely incredible and brave, no resentment, not hate but love and compassion for these creatures and the environment. What humans do to these species is atrocious! Great video guys!

So grateful for you guys to share this story. Its so important for more and more people to understand, that sharks aren't the big bad monster that everyone makes of them. I worked on a shark diving boat myself and seeing this beautiful animals everyday, teaching tourists from all over the world about them was such an important experience for me. I hope many more people are able to get these experiences and see, why its so important to protect them.

I can confidently say I have watched dozens of your films. This is more of an act of self-journalism than one of commenting for others to see. You’ve (the yes theory and seek discomfort brands/channels) helped me overcome my insatiable belief that being purely pragmatic is the way to live life. I’m pursuing a double major in of physics and computer science based off that belief. Now, I plan to pursue this same double major for a different reason. Beauty. Seeking discomfort is beautiful. It’s the act of letting yourself think freely, thinking about the thoughts that we typically disregard. I think we generally do this because we want to stay comfortable, we want to appease society/the people around us. We want to become a success in such a way that others deem us one. I think the main revelation I’ve come too is that if you’re doing things that legitimately make you happy, you’re doing the right things…and it’s beautiful. Wonder Experiencing wonder had been an uphill and downhill journey for me. I’ve always been a curious person, it’s led me to question commonly held beliefs and views of the world/universe. It’s led to my pragmatic mindset, it’s led me to believe that given enough questions and thought, you will always arrive at the correct answer. I have come to realize that it’s impossible for me to come to all the correct answers. However, the act of seeking all of them is beautiful beyond measure. The fact that we humans, made up of literal star dust have become capable of wondering about the universe we are part of is magnificent. Our lives are truly the universe seeking to understand itself, and that’s beautiful. That’s a life worth living. If you’re purely pragmatic, you’ll arrive at the conclusion that nothing really matters, and it’s hard, if not impossible, to prove that belief wrong with pure logic. With that in mind, realize we are living a life, one nearly inconceivably hard to explain and one we’re astronomically lucky to be a part of at this very moment in time; if genuinely coming to this realization isn’t beautiful and mind blowing, I’m not sure what would be. Takeaway If technically nothing matters, why not live a life of beauty and fulfillment. Although somewhat paradoxical, I think this gives life meaning. How could this not be the right answer to life. An answer that is right, but different for all.
