Do you think you'll ever use the suit foe creating more content for the channel, Forrest? Really hope so! Seeing Steve Backshall ( the British version of you! )a few years ago swim with Great Whites, Anacondas and Hippos was an incredible watch, so to see more of you doing the same would be insane!

The only thing I'm confused about is... The suit is absolutely amazing and lifesaving and life changing but my only confusion is all the GoPro cameras mounted to their heads. Those don't give off some form of electricity that they'd pick up on just as much as our human body? Or is it a completely different type of energy?
@lonenomadMaine81

I don't want to downplay or even want anyone to think I'm criticizing Forrest's accomplishment and the crazy technology of the wetsuit at all.... But they are not the first ones to get in the water face to face with crocodiles. You have to watch the episode of River Monsters when Wade jumps in the water with crocodiles in just his briefs no shit at all no defense weapon and he gets right up to one touches it swims beside it and touches it many times. Now Wade said the only way he was able to accomplish this is he had to go when the water was colder and they are less active and aren't so aggressive or want to hunt when their blood is cooler as when the temperature of the water is very warm where he said there's no chance in hell he'd ever even think to jump in and swim with crocodiles because they'd most definitely attack and most likely kill him. I just thought maybe people would wanna go give that episode a watch. 💯 Forrest is still the fucking man though 💯💪💪

@@stevelawson1388 yeah, lots of people have done it. Mostly wildlife photographers. Chris Gillette(I think his name is?) Got footage of him diving with an alligator, _and_ an American crocodile, only a few yards from each other. He's even dived with Nile crocs with hippos in the area, going under and between those mats of floating vegetation. I am curious about this suit though and what(if any) role it plays in how wildlife perceive us, or just getting closer to them.

@zacg_

These are American Crocodiles. They are the only other species that tolerates prolonged exposure to salt water. I've heard one or two people use the phrase "American Saltwater Crocodile" to describe them but I've never seen any scientific source that used that term. Oddly enough, American Crocodiles are among the most placid crocodiles and even crocodilians overall. I'm not saying they're safe to interact with in the wild. But they tend to be shy and relatively less inclined to bite, especially compared to Salties, Niles and Cubans. So this was a WAY better choice than flying from New Zealand to Australia or trying this in his boyhood home in Africa

I’m pretty sure Steve Basghall did a swimming with crocs documentary years ago, and this was without the wetsuit tech. The theory is crocs only attack at the surface allowing you to swim underwater with them. Saying that though I will not be trying either method any time soon.

So jealous. That's awesome. As a SCUBA diver I've always been so fascinated at how differently aquatic animals behave vs. on land animals. And even more fascinating, how differently land, or semi-aquatic animals act in the water. I don't know if it's because they feel safer there, or if they recognize that we are very slow and awkward underwater, or what, but you can get so much closer to animals, including predators, underwater than on land, to the point that if you behave calmly and respectfully, they will even approach you out of curiosity. I mean imagine trying to get close to an average elk, or bear, Wolf, tiger, fox, etc. I remember thinking when I was younger that sharks were (relatively) safe to dive with, but I'd never dive with a crocodile. But over the years, I've seen so many people swim with them and film them, from alligators, to American crocodiles, Nile crocodile, etc. Crocodiles are now officially of my "Animals to Dive With" bucket list.

The suits aren’t cheap 1. Those who are real legal hunters aren’t gonna over hunt from using this technology and those who aren’t legal are using means/techniques that really don’t require a hex suit when your trapping, baiting, poisoning. Hex suits are meant for real wildlife enthusiasts and hunters who actually stalk their prey.

This happened in Kolkata a few years ago, in school, we were in the school field doing womething which I do not remember when all of a sudden, I looked up and saw this giant bird swooping down. It probarbly had a 16 foot wingspan and was probarbly more than 7 feet long. In fear, I ran away and hid under a tree. A few minutes later, I checked the sky, which was obviously clear. The bird looked like a black kite but much, much, much, much, much larger. Black kites are a common sight in Kolkata and would not have caught my attention. After a bit of research on the internet, i concluded that I saw the thunderbird. However, it matched the description of the 'roc' a little more. You may think that this is just a child's imagination, but trust me, it WAS real!

I can only imagine how much safer it could potentially be to interact with these predators without emitting the electro magnectic energy the suit stops? Not that I would ever consider this, but surely there must be a market for surfers, and Biologists like yourself. Great work!! Subscribed!! And don't compare yourself to climbing Mount Everest as if you have done anything less! I actually think this is bigger than an Everest climb in terms of achievement! I'm totally honest here!
