@@ImJinx I would NOT consider it the same animal nor would I want that. Dogs and cats depend on us as pets, but wild animals are wild animals. Even the wildest and dumbest animal out there understands the concept of behavioral reinforcement. So, in the 6 years of training he has been doing with the gator, he has trained him to recognize the "Casper, come" command and the gator knows it means he'll get food if he moves to the source of the sound. It's a thing of repetition and conditioning the animal to do what you want them to do.

Out of experience, I can definitely agree with you about wild animals being trained, not tamed. Through the years, I learned that the animals I trained would definitely murder me if they could. I’ve been injured more than once, I've been hunted at and toyed with, scratched, even bitten several times. But at the end of the day, I never regret getting a pair of house cats.

Alligator mothers care for their joung for up to half a year after they hatch from their eggs. This is extremely uncommon for reptilians. This indicates at least rudimentary social instincts, witch explains to me why alligators can be trained in such a way.
@dmwanderer9454
@dmwanderer9454 2 жыл бұрын
Relationship is still too strong. Unlike mammals, reptiles do not release dopamine during social interactions, so they have no incentive to develop relationships. This is why large snakes are known to sometimes stop eating in preparation to eat their much larger owner, even if well fed.

Are you trying to say that no reptile can bond with a human? OR are you trying to say that no human can bond with a reptile emotionally? Cuz u said dude didn't claim an emotional bond. ALSO r you including birds in that comment? - after all they also descend from Dino's. I don't tend to agree with you. He may not be trying to bond but both reptile and human have a bond. Even a hungry dog or an extremely hungry human is possibly going to eat ANYthing they can get. Humans eat chickens they raise all the time regardless of feelings for the bird.
@beverlycharles6534
@beverlycharles6534 2 жыл бұрын
Reptiles CAN bond and definitely humans CAN bond with a reptile. Reptiles have a limited way of expressing a bond and with some individual reptiles you may not see the bond it may still exist. Some reptiles have certainly expressed bonding characteristics. SO you can have a turtle that shows he likes you, and you might have another turtle that does not express it the same way. Yes MANY pets esp if they r hungry & think u r you are dead or appearing to be food -- might eat you. Does not means there is no bond. Further, other 'pets' like a pit bull or a lion can bond with you but yet eat you (on an off day). When a dog is home alone w a human & human becomes incapacitated or dies after a few days the dog generally will eat just like the Donner Party. PERIOD.

@@gggabriell If your point is that its a wild animal that would still attack him if he made a dumb move: yeah, no sh*t. That doesn't mean however that there can't be some kind of a connection. We've seen videos of bears raised since cubs eating at a picnic table with its owners. Sure they are wild animals with instincts and can absolutely still be dangerous and need to be trained in many cases, but there still can be a "bond" formed through raising an animal since it was young. It may not be the same kind between people of course, and instincts 100% can kick in under wrong circumstances, but still some form of a connection or "bond" can be formed for lack of a better word. You're reading too deep into my comment imo, I just thought it was a fascinating video 😂

@islamisthetruewaytogod6812 Жыл бұрын
Hello ! May Allah protect and guide you to his light and happiness in this life and the hereafter, God bless, Ameen. Excuse me for giving a little presentation of Islam, because it is very misunderstood nowadays, especially on those « Antichrist's » times, where media and politics are mixed to distort history and truth. And terrorists (puppets of the Antichrist) who misinterpret verses, out of ignorance and political motivations, and take them out of historical context (just like radical atheists do by the way), don't help either. Thank you very much for your time. Islam is an arabic word that means the Surrender to the One and Only God, our Creator, Protector, Provider, who gives us life and all that we have, we are safe and sound by his will and grace, we are His and to Him we return, and we have to thank him in this trial life by submitting to him by our free will, or later in the Day of judgment when it's too late to save our own skin. Islam was the original Religion descended to earth from heaven with Adam and Eve (peace and blessing be upon them) in the beginning of humanity. and was passed to people with the succession of the 124 000 prophets and 315 messengers of God to all nations and civilizations since, passing by Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Ismaël, Joseph, Moses, Aaron, Joshua, David, Solomon and Jesus (Peace and blessing be upon them) during the history of mankind, the last replaces and completes the previous, until the succession of the last messenger of God fourteen centuries ago, Muhammad (Peace and blessing be upon him) to complete the noble morals of all mankind, to bring humans and jinns out of darkness into light, and to purify people's religion and belief from corruption and polytheism, and return it to purity and true monotheism, like it was in the times of the prophets (Peace and blessing be upon them). Many Religions that we know nowadays, at their beginning were true and under Islam, initiated by one of the prophets of God, but their original teachings, history and scriptures have been corrupted over time with falsification and polytheism, or lost and replaced with false ones. That's why Islam is the only Religion accepted by God nowadays, which consists in bearing witness that there is no god besides Allah (God in Aramaic, the original language of Jesus and the Gospel), and that Muhammad is His servant and messenger, just like Jesus and Moses and others are His servants and messengers. Never a messenger of God said he was God or literally son of God, it was the people after him who changed the words of God and corrupted the Religion. God is unique and absolute, He does not need to have a family and sons or to associate anyone else with His kingdom, He can simply create whatever He wants, everything belongs to Him, and to Him everything will return. Allah said in Surah Al-Mu’minun : “God has never begotten a son, nor is there any god besides Him. Otherwise, each god would have taken away what it has created, and some of them would have gained supremacy over others. Glory be to God, far beyond what they describe. The Knower of the hidden and the manifest. He is exalted, far above what they associate. (91-92 / Translated by ITANI). Allah means the one and only God, the God of all prophets and creatures, the creator of the universe and mankind, and the Master of the Day of judgment, where our destiny, Hell or Paradise, is decided based on our faith and deeds in this trial life, and above all, Allah's mercy. Allah said in Surah Al-Ikhlas : In the name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful. Say, “He is God, the One. God, the Absolute. He begets not, nor was He begotten. And there is none comparable to Him.” (1-4 / Translated by ITANI). Allah said in Surah An-Nisa : O FOLLOWERS of the Gospel! Do not overstep the bounds [of truth] in your religious beliefs, and do not say of God anything but the truth. The Christ Jesus, son of Mary, was but God's Apostle - [the fulfilment of] His promise which He had conveyed unto Mary - and a soul created by Him. Believe, then, in God and His apostles, and do not say, "[God is] a trinity". Desist [from this assertion] for your own good. God is but One God; utterly remote is He, in His glory, from having a son: unto Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on earth; and none is as worthy of trust as God. Never did the Christ feel too proud to be God's servant, nor do the angels who are near unto Him. And those who feel too proud to serve Him and glory in their arrogance [should know that on Judgment Day] He will gather them all unto Himself: (171-172 / Translated by Muhammad Asad). Allah the Most Merciful said in Surah Ali-Imran : Behold, the only [true] religion in the sight of God is [man's] self-surrender unto Him; and those who were vouchsafed revelation aforetime took, out of mutual jealousy, to divergent views [on this point] only after knowledge [thereof] had come unto them. But as for him who denies the truth of God's messages - behold, God is swift in reckoning! Thus, [O Prophet,] if they argue with thee, say, "I have surrendered my whole being unto God, and [so have] all who follow me!" - and ask those who have been vouchsafed revelation aforetime, as well as all unlettered people, "Have you [too] surrendered yourselves unto Him?" And if they surrender themselves unto Him, they are on the right path; but if they turn away - behold, thy duty is no more than to deliver the message: for God sees all that is in [the hearts of] His creatures. Verily, as for those who deny the truth of God's messages, and slay the prophets against all right, and slay people who enjoin equity - announce unto them a grievous chastisement. It is they whose works shall come to nought both in this world and in the life to come; and they shall have none to succour them. (19-22 / Translated by Muhammad Asad).. Salam (Peace)

Long story short…it’s the closest thing to “friendship” that a human is capable of having with an alligator. I used to have an alligator buddy at my grandparents’ place in Florida back in the day…naturally, we called him Al Bundy (anyone born after 1995 has no idea who that is). He lived in their park’s pond year round…obviously knew that small humans were “interesting” and likely to give him food occasionally since they didn’t know any better…so he’d swim by and say what’s up sometimes. We just didn’t get close, watched him at all times, respected the limits and it was all good. This was almost 30 years ago and as far as I know, he spent decades in that pond. He just never bothered anyone and nobody bothered him. By the way, I’m *not* advocating friendship with any wild predator capable of eating you…don’t go near wild alligators. This is merely an anecdote from my weird ass life.

Reptiles are much more intelligent than people give them credit for. They don't really love their human companions in the same way mammals do, but they can learn that you mean good things and can over time override their instinctual reaction to humans and be content to just chill in your presence.

@@larrytherustyboii7442 kzbin.info/www/bejne/mmq9dZ16lpZ8hbM At 6:03 is around the answer to your question (in the video I linked). But a quick answer is that their brain is "half-working", like they are both sleeping and being awake at the same time. Only half of the brain is conscious, which makes it possible for them to counsciously breathe while sleeping.

It's mutual trust. As he said if he were to slap the alligator in the head or basically come at him wrong he wouldn't hesitate to attack

It's called trust and a genuine bond, bet you never had that, humans are quick to switch up for selfish reasons , while if you have a genuine bond with an animal they don't have those selfish intentions, they're more loyal than any human can be.

@@lez4630 well reptiles are trained, they don’t feel love or compassion for people based on how long they’re in contact with each other. So less of a bond and more of a symbiotic relationship, croc gets rewarded with food and the person doesn’t have to worry about the croc being belligerent, it’s a win win situation as long as he keeps being rewarded

I get that we're not supposed to compare it to pets, but the more you describe it the more it just sounds like a cat. 1. Retaliates to any aggressive behavior. 2. Eats you if you die. 3. Has no sense of fullness.

4. Purrs when given belly rubs 5. Needs treats to be trained 6. Well trained ones are real snuggly and docile 7. Gives you head and nose bumps and wants your attention.

@@AintChillGuy There are, I believe, documented cases of cats eating humans. It's incredibly rare of course, and it'll have to be under a very specific set of circumstances (dead owner mixed with the cat not being fed sufficiently, for example), but it does happen.
