What type of training session do you usually swim? - Intensive - Endurance - Technique
@RickMartinYouTube5 жыл бұрын
right now my most focus is on proper technique since I"m a novice, but I'm working on endurance to be able to swim nonstop for 1-2 km. I do drills that add up to 1,000m. Not much but each day I add a little more.

Very useful/helpful instruction. I really appreciate it as I've been doing these drills that you describe and I think I'm making progress. My first obstacle was getting proper relaxed breathing. With proper breathing a lot of the other techniques start to fall in place.

I’m training for Ironman triathlons, and until recently I would do 2 endurance swims, sets over 200m, and one speed session with sets 200m and under. I now do a very easy session focusing on technique. Trying to get my IM swim time down below 1:40min/100m

Now I am training for 4 summertime triathlons. I am a 2:34 100 yd swimmer however I want to get faster. I think my stroke rate is too slow and could be improved. Maybe my catch/wrist needs to improve. I am relaxed but I need not to swim too long and wait to late to rotate and get going to the next pylon. So I want to improve without sacrificing using my legs for propulsion and getting winded. Great video... thanks..

You should lower your fingers before the catch. That set up the catch better. Now, especially with your left hand the fingers point diagonal upwards.
@sunnydutt68785 жыл бұрын
I mentioned the same in my comment . This teaching will definitely not benefit 100 percent to the leaners. There should be an angle with our palm with which we enter with our arm . That's beneficial for the catch.

Estou aprendendo as técnicas assistindo seus vídeos e também aprendendo a língua Inglesa, que aprendi um pouco a alguns anos atrás. Ainda nadarei corretamente e com mais eficiência! Depending on your work rate, so how many sessions, how long is a session, how many k's do you do a week? As an example someone who swims say 7 sessions a week each one 1h would have over time had an increase in endurance even if they totally focused on sprinting.

Your strokes look brilliant and a lot like mine, unfortunately my ones are the strokes where you are showing swimmers doing it incorrectly and going nowhere, not smashing through the water like you, that's rapid..... I'm training for a triathlon so these tips will come in really handy, I'm going to start with the breathing and kick exercises this weekend, if you can upload the freestyle tips before the middle of June that would be amazing as I'll be able to practice them... THUMBS UP great xvideos.

Thanks for the amazing lessons. I would have loved it if you had focussed a little more on breathing technique while swimming. You recommend swimming on the back, but if thats difficult , how can we still swimm and yet breathe comfortably?
@kattheyak4 жыл бұрын
If you need to, you can hug your kick board while on your back to practice just your kicking. Do that until you're comfortable keep your head facing straight up to keep correct body position, then you should be able to breathe fine. Sorry if this is late advice lol
