In the midst of my 4th cycle of ES. I love how I feel everyday and how my numbers keep going up. I send my gratitude and good thoughts to my teacher whom I've never met in person Mr. Dan John.

That is great news. Four rounds is outstanding. I wouldn’t mind seeing more information from you about your training.

I love early morning workouts. I often get my workout clothes prepped the night before, and I’m outside with some equipment or jogging within 15-20 minutes….. BUT, I just can’t do heavy days on those days. It takes me too long to warm up, and without fail it’s my back that starts to feel it when I have gone heavy. I just never go above 16kg kettlebells early in the morning unless i’ve been up at least an hour.

That's a good compromise. I think that early morning work has some issues, but my life sorta made me slide to that years ago. So, yes, go lighter but that's basically okay (versus just blowing off the workout)

last fall I finished the 10000 swing challenge...four days a week my glutes were burning, I was completely wet and after a long time I realized that I have a 6pack

It’s funny how that works for some people. I’m a real believer that with a smart diet. This little challenge can be a game changer in four or five weeks.

@@DanJohnStrengthCoach During training for three weeks, I was on a diet of yogurt plus ground flax seeds (that was my breakfast) due to colon problems... yes I had to drink that delicious sweet cleansing liquid too 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.. ..so that in four weeks I lost, I think about 4 kg. Now I finished the six-week program with two kettlebells and in the meantime I read the ABC book and at the same time realized where I went wrong. Now follows a week of rest with a perfect workout and then ABC with one kettlebell plus press (2,3,5X3addin wheight by connecting kettlebells) as in the book and after that a program with two kettlebells

I love the idea of easy strength. Deadlifting, vertical pressing, loaded carries are my go to moves. How do I program kettlebell swings into the program while also deadlifting?
@DanJohnStrengthCoach6 ай бұрын
Just go to my website and get either of my easy strength books that discuss this in detail

Purchased the new book 📕. Thanks for a great read Dan. Currently in week 3 of the program A B C. I’ve added in handstand pushups against the wall one of the shoulder days 💪💪

I train early morning 6 times a week. I always, always have a cup of coffee first and devote 30 minutes to just waking up, listening to the birds or a certain coach. Morning workouts are at least 30 minutes. Kettlebells, heavy club (I know your opinion on those coach but I find them a great complement for my heavy gym and kettlebell workouts. And a 10kg club does wonders on the core and shoulders when you hold it and move it with one hand for 10 mins. Anyway… I digress…) some mobility patterns. I mix and match. The point is “easy” mornings at home and heavy afternoons at the gym.

That's basically what my coach told me to do in about 1976. Coach Notmeyer was trying to get me to get an additional "moving" session to prod my progress along...still a good idea.

Thank you very much for the podcast Dan, A question about the GTG, If I want to do it for example every hour or 2 hours, What about those exercises that are a good idea to warm up like the one-handed push-up, obviously you can't warm up all the time, What do you recommend in those cases?
@DanJohnStrengthCoach6 ай бұрын
As I understand it, you don’t warm up at all
@DanJohnStrengthCoach6 ай бұрын
I certainly could be wrong. But whenever I’ve done it, I don’t warm up even a little bit.

@@DanJohnStrengthCoach Thank you very much Dan, I did GTG for the first time last year, once GTG of Push up for 21 days, and then GTG of Pull-ups for 21 days and I never warmed up, I had doubts about the One arm Push UP but I imagine it is The same for most exercises. Then there is experimentation and adjustment.
