Yes the bell,should transition onto your forearm when it is basically floating and weightless during the upward clean or snatch. Glad it helped. Search our channel for other Kettlebell clean / snatch videos.

Hi Joe, could you suggest any brand of kettlebell with a longer/wider grip to accommodate two-handed swings (like the purple on you were using here, I'd presume)? I'd bought some competition-style ones from Perform Better awhile ago and never even considered the fact that competition bells are suited for one handed exercises. Thank you!

The widest handles hands down are Vulcan competition bells. Squarish window .

If kettlebell hits your wrist when doing snatches it is because you throw it up too high. You have to go easier at swinging it up from the bottom so that at the end you still have to push it up a bit. You have to make sure that the kettlebell has no excess energy left at the top to go up and around your hand and hit you in the wrist. You do not "flip" it, you push it up by the handle at the end and it simply lies down on your wrist.

Yup.

Liked the video. Good break down of the grip and the variation between bells. The audio was having problems in spots though. A clicking noise would muffle your voice. And you got cut-off in mid-sentence at the end.

just depends on what you want to be proficient in. just tension or smoother form and absorption/ possible work in to KB lifting. competitions. i have prep programs for both. if your interested in online work

I'm using cast iron bells and I'm doing ok with the right wrist, but the left feels like I'm crushing the nerve. Is it because of weakness?
@kettlebellmusclegain10 ай бұрын
I definitely don't think it's about weakness or anything I have several cast iron bells that hit me on certain areas that are incredibly painful and feel like nerve pain and that's why I like competition bells better as a displaces more of the weight into more areas of the arm cast iron bells are usually right behind the lower radius of the arm
@davec937110 ай бұрын
@@kettlebellmusclegain Thanks; I'll be getting some adjustable bells soon.
@kettlebellmusclegain10 ай бұрын
A lot of it's going to be about adjusting your form but I think competition bill is definitely will help but give it a little bit of time if it hurts move on there's other things that we can do or you might even like Thompson fat bells to get similar effective kettlebells without having something on your wrist

Hello Joe, on a different video you said you recommend buying 2 of the same weight and a heavier one. Currently I own a 16 kg KB and training consistently since March this year, and I'm thinking of buying a second 16 kg. Do you think I should do it?
@kettlebellmusclegain7 жыл бұрын
Yes! m never without 2x16kg bells or 2x12 kg. remember buying 2x16 you can do so many things. also 2x16-=32kg so you can swing them both for a 32kg bell instead of buying one only to swing it. try these Paradigm Pro Elites. theyre the best. bit.ly/2pXC9qv id recommend 2x16 and 1x26 or 28kg

Kettlebells destroy your supraspinatus. They ruin the rotator cuffs muscles
@kettlebellmusclegain Жыл бұрын
Odd that most people who use them myself included for the past decade have better shoulder control less injuries and better mobility vs barbell users. . where's your proof of this destruction?
@godlikeexcellence1201 Жыл бұрын
@@kettlebellmusclegain I never had shoulder issues, was doing calisthenics for couple of years, using dumbbells, dong pull ups and dips regularly. After a week of kettlebell swings I had severe shoulder pain, did an MRI, and now I have a partial tear of supraspinatus which is inflamed also probably due to impingement. Now I can barely move my arm because it feels like it's going to pop out. The kettlebell swings damage the shoulder because they put immense force on shoulder tendons and have them impinged because of a narrow grip. Now the doc said to stop training arms for 2 month at least and I feel terrible
