I heated the bolts with a blow torch and then twisted them into position without having to tap the hole. Trick is to heat the bolt and then screw turn into position and immediately screw turn out using cold water to cool the area.

I did it on the om646 w203 2003, but the car still doesn't start, the engine is connected, the check lamp is not there, but there is a valve error, do I need to software solve the valves, I think I should turn them off?

Those plastic flaps are brittle and it's pressure and oil leaking point. So you can get black smoke, slow acceleration and in worst case scenario they could break off and cause serious engine damage. So definitely worth doing.

Take off engine cover and you will see on the right side of engine, if it's same

symptoms is rich running (lots of smoke), oil soaked left hand side of engine-block, and limp home mode, do this and erg shunt and you will have lots of power again and far better milage

What about the actuator? Does it generate fault code for movement without the flaps?

It is not needed to edit software as long as you keep servo motor connected.

No difference. Still same consumption abt 10l/100km, ML, R19 AT tires

i did this and drilled hole thought the socked part, then secured the bolt with a stailess steel wire so they cant turn loose
