I've enjoyed your videos. I have a little tree farm in Ramseur, NC. I get a lot of ideas from you. Did the on-demand water heater in our camper. Getting ready to upgrade our solar. Please keep pumping them out. Thanks

I have a big wheel push mower as a rough cut mower. Man that thing will wear you out. The self propelled part hardly works in the tall weeds. I could see the drive wheels being in the back a real benefit.

I can't imagine the work that would create for you...ugh

I for sure could use one of those

I could use that on my 8 acres. Talking about casters I ordered 4" wheels and got 3" wheels today. Delay on my welding table again lol. Good find.

@Grumpy Mountain Man Off-Grid Homestead - It's hard to tell without being there, however, the "muffler" looks like a spark arrester. If so, it could be rebuilt or replaced with something better. You could experiment and make it quieter by opening up the muffler and adding steel wool to it, but then you'll have to clean it more often as it will become more restrictive and clog up easier.

I just going to use the wood cutting hardhat. It will force me to use it. Thank you so much for the suggestion!

good review of that machine! I wish I had one of them when I did the CRP all by hand sickle and chainsaw! That front end accessory is awesome I could see trying to push down on the handlebars all the time without it! But I wanted to tell you this Channel out of KZbin jail now, 8 months because of Missouri Sewer and Waste!! So I'll be putting videos on it here pretty quick, on the wind turbine out in Colorado! That turbines going crazy! I'm glad that you have sub to my channel. I like your videos and take care!! God bless!!

I didn't remove the reverse lockout slide bracket, I just picked up a handy twig and wedged it so it remained up out of the way. With that lockout, when I went deep into a wall of brush, I had to crawl through the vegetation to reach the lockout and enable it to go into reverse. Major Pain. They learned their lesson from actual users and in the next design, put the control up by the top. Without the pesky lockout, it's much better, and able to go in reverse without having to disengage the blade each time. Just need to be more adult about operating it though, as the idea was to prevent someone from somehow mowing themselves down in reverse, if they were able to hold both hands on both control levers as it backed over them. 😉 While the front casters would be handy moving it in a narrow garage, I don't find it that necessary in actual use, as it's easy enough to turn by pushing down on the hand grips to loft the front and allow it to pivot on the drive wheels.

Is that unit self propelled? Looked like you were really have to push it, is the reason I ask.
@GrumpyMountainMan4 жыл бұрын
Its self propelled. The camera doesn't pick up how steep the property really is. I sat a round hay bale down. Turned away. Looked again and had rolled all the way down to our gorge. Ha

Have you ever checked the transaxle oil level or added to it and how far did you fill it? Mine has a rubber plug on the back side to assess oil level check
