I'm from Suryapet, I grew up roaming around all those streets all the time. Currently, I'm in the USA btw, that's not saraswathi 4:47 it's Telanagan Talli statue like the Statue of Liberty (New York, USA). The lunch you ordered is served with Dal, Sambar, Curd( Yogurt), Bendi (Okra curry), Dondakaya (Tindora curry) and Gongura pickle (Sorrel leaves). When foreigners visit any place in India local people will have the curiosity to try talking to them or like having a picture with them so please don't get offended or scared, every human being is kind and welcoming here. Anyway, Stay safe and have a pleasant trip.

The pickle is made from Gongura leaves...can you imagine Gongura leaves are available in Indian grocery store in the USA... you have got the knack of eating food with your hands the Indian way. Lastly you eat with your right hand -- that's the custom

wow.. I am happy to see you try an Udupi restaurant at Telangana. Since I am from Udupi I thoroughly enjoyed your Coastal travel series. Udupi cuisine is found throughout India and world wide . It is mostly known for its authentic vegetarian cuisine originating from the temple kitchens of Udupi. Udupi is also known as the breakfast city as we have 100s of breakfast varieties.. all are vegetarian. Udupi is also famous for its nonveg cuisine however it is called as Mangalorean cuisine as it is part of same region. As usual I am irritated seeing you mix up food😄😄😀😀But that's okay.. you are enjoying it. Only thing you will miss the individual and intricate flavours of each dish. Tondekai is Ivy gourd. Bendekai is Okra/ladies finger. Gongura pickle is made up of leaves of Roselle plant or Gongura plant which is famous in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Hi Sir. I am from coastal south Maharashtra and we have some Udupians who have setup hotels and their breakfast is famous. Their surnames are Moolyas, Shetty. We enjoy our Dosa, Uttapa, Idli at their hotel. We also have Aiyyangar bakery and the owner is from Udupi. Thanks Udupi for the wonderful cuisines.

@@bigdreamsinfotainment9481 That is so nice to hear. You can even prepare Udupi cuisine at Home. It is simple. Try pineapple menasukai that's one of our signature preparation. If you are a non vegetarian you can even try some mangalorean seafood preparation.

Udupi hotels are famous all over the world ...Since Mahabharata. Our king of udupi didn't took part in war and took the responsibility of cooking for for soldiers in war and not a single grain was wasted during war when he was asked about it he replied that he gave some peanuts to Krishna and left over peanuts represents left thousands of soldier in war and he would cook for them ...He was very much appreciated and blessed that udupi would be famous for food and it is so now ... About your thali, the dishes were - From Left to Right - Daal, Sambhar, curd, ladies finger, thondekai (not sure what it's called in English, but you can google) , gongura pickle and paapad! 😁 Usually, we make 3 portions of the rice. one for daal, one for sambhar and the other one for curd. some people also add sugar to the curd and have it instead of mixing it with the rice. Also, love your daughter's mask 😂

Anna (referencing a brother in my native language Telugu, which is a way for addressing someone affectionately) your video along with the family is a wonderful depiction of enjoying a vegetarian meal. My whole family enjoys your videos and specially the way you relish all the variety of food. I only wish you had some help with the local language, but it adds to the beauty of your travels. Keep doing it.

Come to Visakhapatnam it is much cooler here and lots of parks to relax, play and read your favourite book. You shouldn't mix everything up. Mix each item separately and eat.
