The 9mm single stack P220 was my service pistole when I was an officer in the swiss army. Never had a single malfunction of any kind with this gun. In my opinion this is one of the most legendary pistols of all times, as it laid the technological foundation for all the SIG pistols to come including of course the P225, P226, P228, P229 and so on...

the real "nehausen" p210 is probably the most accurate and best shooting guns in the world. SIG (germany, not to be confused by SIG USA..) made a really good trigger on these guns. the 6" version (with sights on the barrel) is he most sought after 9mm gun for swedish and scandinavian bullseye pistol shooting. The current p210 is nothing like this, the trigger is diffrent (worse) among other.

Browning,9,High power,Berreta 9. M,f,2, Colt1911,high capacity. No particular order ,Browning, reliable and 13 and I'm English so.Then Berreta, open slide no jam, highest capacity, just love when parker using wears a bit and it goes ultra blue can see the quality of the metal and build. 1911, power and reliability then quality modern ones with Extra 3 or so bullets. If you cant defend yourself with 7 rounds of .45 don't know you can have modern higher capacity. Lots of manufacturers and versions. If well made their good.Like a more powerful Browning 9, mm. Wish UK allowed more access to fire arms for citizens really. Even at a range it's hard . You have to know someone or have license and membership. Get guns floating but you could get 5 years for possession with intent for a loaded. More if they say your conspiring.Even if genuine , just for fun and practice. You can't just go range like USA. And use their guns and ammo. Shit really. I mean what men don't like to shoot?

Many shooters here in Sweden calls it a Neuhausen. Neuhausen is the old factory where it was made. Many shooters gets different kits to swap caliber for it. At 14:00 You said, that the Sig 75 aka P 220 has the same inverted rail system as the CZ 75, but that is wrong. Only the Sig P 210 has it. Afterwards they changed it to the more traditional style with the P 220 aka 75 and i think they never returned to the CZ 75 aka P 210 rail system. I shoot a P 210 from time to time and it is indeed a well made Pistol with tight fittings, you can use it for target shooting out of the box. That`s great for a military pistol. Thanks for sharing (:-). The P210 is handcrafted adding to the precision. I call it the Rolex of pistols. They were made before the CNC machies. They are supposed to be one of the best crafted and most precise - accurate and reliable pistols in the world. In particular the P210-6 and the P210-5 shoot very very well due to the target sights and the lack of tolerances, the 210-5 has a longer barrel. I am not a very good pistol shooter but in the hands of my friend it shoots bullseye on 25 meters all of the time if he does his job. The P210 has been in service in the Danish army since the fifties until recent years. It was in use with our forces in Irak and Afghanistan. My cusin beeing a captain in Afghanistan used the P210 as his sidearm. I cannot shoot the Glock and other modern sidearms with accuracy but as soon as I use the P210 I am right on target. I guess the mag capacity has it´s dowside beeing single stack with 8 round capacity but singlestack is better for the precision. It does not fire without the magazine inserted. Chr. from Denmark

One small mistake. With swiss weapons the number indicates the year of development not adoption. So the K11 for example was developed in 1911 but only reached the hands of soldiers a few years later
@furlanut41753 жыл бұрын
What is true for the carbine K11 is not true for the K31 or the P49. The development of the P49 began as early as 1935 (patent of the Swiss engineer Charles G. Petter on the French pistol SACM 1935 - pistolet automatique modèle 1935A). SIG bought the patent in 1937 and then began with the project of the new pistol for the Swiss Army. A first lot was handed out to the Swiss (and Danish) Army in 1947 and was definitely introduced in 1949.

Tiny correction on the 210: The polymer grip doesn't necessarily mean it's a military model. Early models, both military and civilian, have a walnut grip, later models have a polymer grip. For instance, mine is a military pistol (it was my late grandfather's service pistol) and it has a walnut grip.

The reborn P210 does not have the mag safety. The mag release button of today is more "traditional" ("non-european") and can be reached with the thumb. It is very little risk that accidentally release the mag also in the new breed, but should it happen you'd be happy that there is no mag safety mechanism as in the original version. Giving you the opportunity to shoot the last chambered round. The lack of safety increases the safety, so to speak.

Danish Pistol M/49, was my issue service pistol from 1960 to 2001, with many years in the reserve. Its limtations: only 8 round mag, single action only, heal mag catch. In the age of the Wonder Nines it is considered outdated, but take it to the range and get your eyes opened. Even if some of the guns had done really much mileage they were really precise. The limitations, well, we did what soldiers always do: we learnd to work around them. 8 round capacity: get extra mags. If you cannot solve your social problems with 18 - 24 rounds you are in the wrong place anyway, get something beltfed. Heal mag release: Incredible what practice, practice and more practice can do! Single action: cocked and locked. The best safety is between the ears of the shooter, anyway.

The Danish Army hopes to select a new pistol by the end of 2018, because they still use the p210. This will mark an impressive 70 years of service. Conscripts in Swiss army still use the p220 nowadays, only professionals use glock 17. I have a p210(Like yours) and a swiss police version of the p220, both are really great guns.

Not true. No glock17 in Switzerland. P220 still in use. Some troops like the MP uses the Sig Pro. Greetings from Switzrrland

I work with the MP in Geneva, they dont have Sig Pro anymore, they have glocks 17 now. For special missions they also use Glock 26. Sad I admit, but its true :D

We, the Danish Army, have already selected the next service pistol and the SIG P320 X-Carry won the trials. Issuing supposed to start early 2019. I’m looking forward to it, as I carry a P210 everyday on duty and while it’s a great piece of precision engineering, it’s an outdated design.

Brutus_CH Yes, they are from Payerne but I guess its the same everywhere because it should be a federal choice...? tactical.dk Good news ! I agree with you

Why didn't you demonstrate the removal of the fire control on the P210? That pistol is not a target model, therefore the fire control is not retained with a screw.

You can remove the Hammer/Trigger assembly without tools. Like a Tokarev 33

I would've liked to have seen some slow-mo with the Luger but, still a great video. PS; I'd have gabbed all 3 and ran! LOL!

Tim I love your videos but Revolvers are more reliable then semi-autos. lol I know that get's your goat. JK. But I still love my revolvers. Massad Ayob ruined me. I stopped by Copper Customs but you were out being a video/youtube star. Nice shop my friend. Thanks for the totally interesting vids.

The P220 is also the service pistol of the Japanese military though they build them under license.

Sig should reintroduce a commemorative "Swiss Army" 9mm P75 P220. Sell it in a package with a Victorinox limited edition knife. That would be awesone. I'd buy one.

“Should I sell my car and get a Luger?” “What organs do I not need to live?” “How much can I get for plasma?” These are questions I ask myself whenever you make videos of rare guns.

I have the browning p220 and I enjoy it very much, however trying to update it or replace parts is almost impossible. This factor alone does not make it attractive to own. We need to rescue these Guns by making spare parts available. ,

Not quite right. Just because it's got the black polymer grips does not mean that it's a military pistol. The early batches had walnut grips and were army designated. Having the black plastic grips just means that it was a mid to late transitional model P-210 2 generation.
