Very nice, Swiss First Class is miles better than its Business Class, so much better. The food in the lounge looked fantastic, really good, and that outdoor deck looked great. Your camera does have a fantastic zoom, very impressive. A wonderful first class cabin, the TV was a wonderful size, very nice. This is probably one of my favorite trip reports you have done so far, thank you for posting it.

I like this design more than the Middle East 3 (Emirates, Qatar, Etihad) It's more aesthetically pleasing, sleek and modern. Too much gold and ostentatiousness for me out of the Middle East.

I have to agree, the design definitely had a more modern yet welcoming feel to it. The others you mentioned are just as beautiful, but very (for lack of a better word..!) 'blingy'. Absolutely nothing wrong with that, but I love the clear, sleek, comforting touches of SWISS First Class. Although I do feel some work needs to be done in some areas to polish it up slightly (the privacy screen, as an example..!)

Amazing! Awesome experience. Amandeuce, how many seats are in First Class Section? Swiss has really come a long way, with this new aircraft. I really don't see much difference between Etihad or Qatar or Emirates. Maybe more panache or looks, but your service was impecable. Congratulations, I am glad you are enjoying such an experience. Just a few tips to make your blogging a little more informative; 1. If you are going to put captions on the screen, please leave them up long enough for people to read them so they don't have to keep rewinding. 2. If you're going to review a cabin service, on an airline, then please make sure that the menu is recorded in the video like other bloggers do, by panning the camera down across the wine list and the menu slowly so they can see the airline's product. We would like to see everything that's on the menu - not just the meal that you ordered. And please try and capture the entire text of the menu on the screen so that it doesn't go off the edge. Half of the menus that you recorded were unreadable for this reason. It's no good having fancy music, slow mo, and high speed footage, if you can't do the basics correctly. Watch some of Paul's videos, and see how he does it, and you'll see what I mean. 3. And you don't have to have the music playing through the entire video at high volume, it becomes very tiring on the ears. Especially with the choice of music that you've chosen. 4. You need to also record many more details of the flight that you were travelling on. I.e., flight number, flight duration, everything that you ordered for your different menus in screen captions, your wine decisions, etc. We haven't got time to read the menu while you've moved forward to the next bit then we have to guess what you're eating because we haven't had time to rewind. Please don't think I'm criticizing you, because logging is not an easy thing to do, and you've taken the time to do it, and share it with us - we appreciate that. But, we would like to have an idea of your experience this end, because we can't be you and experience what you are experiencing, so you need to try and convey as much detail as possible so that we get a better idea of the product. But thank you for the review anyway, Swiss First looks like a neat product, so the next time I fly anywhere with a Swiss option, it's definitely worth checking it out.

A330 C LX 155 BOM-ZRH BUSINESS sucked. Old aircraft, bad in-flight, out of control screaming child, 4 requests before the electrical system (for charging etc) was turned on, purser that conversed loudly during nap time, FA that need permission from purser to operate a CPAP machine, no galley service. Sharp contrast to SK CPH-ORD BUSINESS I flew only 2 days later which was fantastic on the 340 (I think).

Point taken. traffic in Bangkok city is as fast as my grandma going groccery shopping. But the toll road isnt to bad at all. it gets you in to the city faster. And changing trains at Phaya Thai Can be a real hasle. Although its good to get a stop at Phaya Thai to change your Cash to Bath at the Super Rich exchange office(best rates in town) To each there own but when i get to BKK i just want to be chauffeured to my hotel for a shower and a well deserved banana Pancake :)

I am currently based in Zurich and travel a lot. From my experience I love the Zurich Airport and flying Swiss, from Economy to First Calls, they are excellent. Even-though Etihad, Singapore Airlines, and Emirates have more space in their first class, the Swiss just feels a lot more warm, welcome, and typically swiss: on point. Thanks for the upload.

SWISS configured B773 with 10 abreast (3-4-3) in economy, which is ridiculous. Therefore, SWISS’ T7 in Y is "no go" for me. Flew many times with SWISS in C - really nothing special. They mean to be so perfect and well organized, but forget to be welcoming, warm and friendly. E.g. TAM (Brazilian, actually LATAM Brazil) - they are long way far from the perfection, but the cabin crew makes the wonder and lets you feel “at (Brazilian) home”.

rocketraccoon dude, you don't have to be rich to travel business or first. Just join your regular airline's frequent flyers club, and save up the miles. You'll be surprised how quickly you can save a few. If you travel on different airlines, make sure you join all of their frequent flyers club especially if you fly more than three or 4 times a year which is the minimum requirement for most airlines. If you travel maybe 6 or 7 times a year, with a few long hauls thrown in, then it will only take you a few years to save up a 50% discount on a business class cabin. And you'll find a lot of the time, if you speak nicely to the lady or man at check-in when you are travelling business class, you can often get upgraded to first if it is an empty flight. OR, conversely, if you get there early and the flight is jam-packed, and there's no seats left on the plane, then often there is a lot of frantic people shifting, creating a cascade, with economy's being upgraded to business - in which case your business may well get upgraded to first. It happened to me twice last year. On both occasions it was due to an overbooked flight. I had a full fare business class ticket, got to the airport early and was upgraded. On one of them, the check-in girl made me laugh, by saying, "I'm ever so sorry sir, I sincerely hope you don't mind, but as the flight is overbooked, would it be ok if we put you to first class? .. Please accept our apologies." And she said it with no hint of irony whatsoever. So you don't have to be rich, you just have to be lucky. Try to save up a little bit, and travel business class, as often as you can. You'll find that your frequent flyers membership will be upgraded very quickly to a higher status, and on overbooked flights you can often get upgraded to first, as I said.

As someone who has worked hard and earnt their wealth, I can safely say that it is so much better to be rich than not. Travelling first class all the time allows me to avoid the uncultured and scummy riff raff, whilst enjoying the finest things in life. I would highly recommend pursuing a career which rewards you with a lot of money, because it's not true what they all say. Money DOES buy you happiness as it has done for me.

In ZRH the walk from the lounge to the gate is very short. LX180 usually starts from a gate right at the entrance of the business lounge. So from the first lounge it will not be much longer.

I am used to FRA where it is so hectic like LAX. I miss Europe and Germany very much. It has been 15 years since I left. The only thing that I think would have made your trip better is to have someone to share it with. As your video was showing how quiet and intimate your surroundings were, my romantic mind was realizing how nice that would have been to share with someone you love. So don't do another amazing trip alone and if one does come up, call me before you go alone! Thanks for sharing your experience...tom

After decades of international travel as a paid J class pax I have often been upgraded and while nicer in some respects its less comfortable due to the attitude of the other pax in that cabin. Do have a great day, mind the gap between train and platform.
