Swiss Passes by motorcycle Grimsel, Furka & Susten. Triumph Scrambler 1200.

So this was my recent trip to the Alps. It was part of a larger European tour but this was definitely a big highlight. Here’s the route :

My Triumph Scrambler 1200xc felt like the perfect bike for this ride. But then again it always does to me 💕

I’ve just discovered your channel and think it’s great. This vlog has reminded me of a great group tour I did a few years ago, but I didn’t do them all in one day, that must have been sensory overload, full credit to you. 👍 I am currently considering a Scrambler, just can’t decide on which one yet. Can I ask you what luggage you used on this trip as I’m guessing from your intro it would have been 7-10 days long? Keep up the great work.

@@MarkN67 Thanks for the feedback. I’m a real amateur when it comes to KZbin - just posting things when the mood takes me. As it happens I was in the French Alps a couple of days ago - I’m in the Ardeche now on the way to the Pyrenees. Check out my Instagram page - also called SpodoKomoto - I’ve ridden some of the big passes there and posted some bits and bobs. The Scrambler is an awesome bike - I was planning to change this year - I spent a week on a Multistrada and then another on Tiger to try them out - but it’s still the Scrambler for me. I think the XC is the best one 😁 - a better balance of road/off-road than the XE - and better equipped than the new X - so I’d go for a used low mileage 2021 XC. I am obviously extremely biased here! 😁 As for luggage - I’m a massive fan of Kriega and use the US bags on the Scrambler. Don’t worry about the high exhaust - it’s not a problem. I’m currently away for two weeks and camping too - all easily carried without protruding side cases which I really don’t like. I’ve been meaning to do a video about my set up - when I get round to it! 😉

Hi, is that the tall triumph screen? With deflector on, curious about your opinion regarding clean air noise etc, I’m 6ft 2’ considering different options at the mo, I have the fly screen on my xc but would like more protection on long trips. Appreciate your opinion 🙂

Hi, yes mine is the Triumph tall screen - the extension is by Puig. I think it makes a big difference and I’m really happy with this set-up. You’re taller than me but there’s lots of adjustability. The extension is pretty cheap and clips on - so it’s worth a try.
