Hiiiiiighly recommend DoubleTake Break-away mirrors! I installed a pair weeks after taking delivery in 2019. You’ll need an adapter to mate the different mm sizes…but they are not only better rear viewing, they’re survivors if you take your XE off road. My 2019 XE has almost 20k miles on the clock and the mirrors have held up great!!!

haha if you have a bike to fall off on and learn with, what do you need to go to some school for with people who set themself up as teachers, but probably are full of BS selling hot air. Just drive to a sand quarry and give it some welly and learn as you go. break a bone or two but if you dont wish that to happen then don't do motocross or offroad. If you are scared of heights, then dont get in an airplane

Love this video!! I own a Thruxton RS and I was planning on picking up a Desert Sled but now I’m leaning toward the Scrambler 1200 - great video and props to riding it the way you do! Well done

I swapped a Tiger 800 and a Speed Twin for my Scrambler 1200 - really pleased with it. I used to have a Ducati Scrambler - not the Desert Sled - a fun bike but the Scrambler 1200 is definitely a big step up.

@spodokomoto50202 жыл бұрын
I agree. I’m an off road novice but couldn’t help thinking there are easier and lighter bikes to do this on. I bought the XC which is more about on road because that’s what I mostly do. But it was good to see what’s possible off road.
@phils21802 жыл бұрын
@@spodokomoto5020 I have a Street Scrambler which is even more road biased than the 1200 but it's a great road bike. I've done a couple of very mild green lanes on it but the Triumph Scramblers are heavy bikes. I also own a (comparatively) lightweight enduro bike which, at almost 100kg less, can still be a handful when the going gets really tough!😂
@spodokomoto50202 жыл бұрын
@@phils2180 That said - the Street Scramblers on the course stood up pretty well and I thought were surprisingly capable off-road given that this isn’t really their intended purpose. Which is just to look really cool!
@Slycarlo Жыл бұрын
I got tips for you m8 when off roading dont use your front brake on muddy clay road it will always cause you trouble, engine breaking and rear brake will suffice and dont speed up on puddles if you are not familiar on how deep it is and always pick a line that isn't muddy, rocks and pebbles will give you much better traction and it is not necessary to always standing up it will mess up your center of balance

Do you find the Scrambler 1200 reliable? Would you do a TET type of tour on it?
@spodokomoto50202 жыл бұрын
My own bike has been very reliable - no issues at all. This day showed they’re certainly capable off road and can take a beating. But they are big heavy bikes - so if I was planning a long off road tour I probably would choose something much smaller and lighter.

At ten years old i took my xr 75 honda enduro to thee quarry and ripped it up every day until i was doing leaps and 150 meter long wheelies, and on my own bike, so it did get scratched and had some accidents (a lot!).. in those days they didn't market learning how to ride, because you learn on your own bike, and fix it when you fall off. Less snobby in the 80s i suppose. These days they make a business out of everything, after-sales ducati,harley,triumph riding lessons haha what do you need that for you ride a triumph every day? I do not understand. Scared of scratching your bike? Then do not scramble. Truly our normal side roads in Thailand are more hardcore than this 'off road experience'. I am sorry but my generation finds this weird
