I love knitting hats, and I HATE double pointed needles. I've always wanted to learn this, but written instructions were so confusing I avoided even trying. This video is so clear and well filmed and your instructions so specific that it makes a daunting task quite workable. Thank you SO much!

This video is excellent!! I am making toe up socks and I did the toe using magic loop. Then I switched to 9 inch circulars to try them out and found that my hands really cramped up so I tried to get them back on my 32 inch needle. What a hot mess! I ended up having to pull them off of the 32 inch needles and putting them back on the 9 inch circulars while fixing all the stitches I dropped, lol. I still found the 9 inch circulars really tough on my hands. So I searched on KZbin on how to transfer them properly and your video came right up! I just followed your instructions and it worked perfectly! I cannot thank you enough!! Now my hands don’t hurt and I’m actually enjoying my knitting! I love the yarn you are working with! It has such a beautiful sheen!! Definitely a new subscriber here!! Thanks again!🤗🤗

I am new to magic loop and wanted to try it on a hat because I am not particularly fond of double pointed needles. Apparently I’m not the only one! This video was very helpful, thanks

This was very helpful thank you. I wonder if you could please show how to reverse this process. I am trying to switch from the magic loop to short circulars in the middle of my project

Great suggestion! I will absolutely work on that as soon as possible!

This is such a helpful video! I’m working on a pattern that has a round of straight knitting between decrease round. Can I move the work over to the magic loop needles on a knit round rather than the decrease? I’m assuming it wouldn’t change the process but wanted to check. Thank you!

Great question! Yes, it should work in the same way. Let me know how it goes!

Can you show what happens when you have too many stitches for magic loop and you can knit normally from there?
@oliviab1111 Жыл бұрын
Is it possible to do the opposite, as in to switch from working in the magic loop and then after you've done some rows of increases, to switch to working in the round normally?
@Purlsandpixels Жыл бұрын
Yes, it is definitely possible. Once you've made enough increases to fit your new needle, start working stiches off the long circular needle (the magic loop needles) with the shorter circular needle. I suggest giving it a try on a practice project, but you can do it. :-) I'll try to think up a nice tutorial video on this, as well. Have a lovely day and happy knitting!

why don't you try starting like you do to begin a sock and do your increases so you do not have to deal with the mess of decreases
@Purlsandpixels10 ай бұрын
You could absolutely work the hat from the top-down. I prefer bottom up, as I actually prefer making decreases to making increases. Just personal preference. Happy knitting!
