Besides the board's metallic kind of ping sound when keys are pressed and the sort of obnoxious font on the keys, it's a phenomenal mechanical keyboard. The fact that you can hot swap the switches is huge. Whoever designed this thing knew how to make the cheapest, most solid mechanical keyboard possible. $35 is an insane price.

I've had a lot of different keyboards over the years from the big brands (Razer, Corsair, etc) and while some of them were great (some of them were definitely not), I have been the most pleased with the K552. It's a chonker for sure, heavy construction, the key presses feel substantial (which is great because I have larger hands) and it gives a satisfying sound. Of all the keyboards I've had, this one just feels like it has the most audible and physical feedback out of any of the others. Sure it's a low price and the font on the keycaps really screams "I'm a gamer bois", it is definitely far from any of the other "cheap" keyboards I've used. It's great.

A tip from someone who's been using this keeb for a while : You can remove the ugly "Redragon" above the arrow keys by using an eraser on it for about 20 minutes with no damage to the keyboard. Also, that protruding part is removable, you'll need to pry it a little bit. Once removed, the PCB is exposed, just like under the spacebar key. It is easy to cover with a sticker. I erased the logo and put a sticker on the protruding part with my gamertag on it. Makes for some good customisability.

Bought one of these with only red LED from BB recently for $17.50. Figured it would be a backup or for a family member. I had never tried the lesser known brands or gotten anything too cheap, I wasn't expecting much. Ended up liking the typing feel and sound more than the Cooler Master with Gaterons I had been using. Still using it right now. Metal plate, adjustable feet, hot-swappable, decent features that other boards in the price range don't always have. I've had boards with Cherry MX Brown, Blue, Gaterons etc, and I can't really find anything wrong with using this one. Unless the switches are going to have terrible longevity or something, but there were even 4 spares in the box which I've never had in other products before. A few weeks later and I decided to try a Redragon 60% and am looking at a few others. The white K630 60% arrived and seems awesome. I can't afford all the high-end and specialty stuff people get into, I'm more a fan of a good bargain and I'd rather be able to try a new board once in a while even if it doesn't last forever. Considering other boards I've had cost two or three times as much and I can't identify anything that they did much better, I think I'm a fan of this brand.

I've had this for the exact same amount of time and have had only 1 issue, which I don't believe is too major. The issue is that my comma key refuses to type sometimes and is actually more likely just the switch as it's probably just been damaged after playing osu!mania for a few months now.

A cheap one like this was my first - and while I've moved on from it, I'm so glad I got it! Different brand, but it came with the same doubleshot caps - just the pad printing was different. A cheap mech won't be as good as a premium one - but it WILL be loads better than whatever came with your computer.
@m4cker3 жыл бұрын
Same, used an alternative brand name from the same OEM as my 1st mech. That thing was built like a tank and couldn't have asked for a better introduction to mechanical keyboards. I would probably still be using it now if the blue switches weren't so loud when working from home.
